in world education, morality, and acts of charity.

SEC. 2. CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL.
(a) PRESENTATION AUTHORIZED- The President is authorized to present, on behalf
of the Congress, to the Lubavitcher rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, a
gold medal of appropriate design, in recognition of his outstanding and
enduring contributions toward world education, morality, and acts of charity.
(b) DESIGN AND STRIKING- For purposes of the presentation referred to in
subsection (a), the Secretary of the Treasury shall strike a gold medal with
suitable emblems, devices, and inscriptions reflecting the theme of education
to be determined by the Secretary.
(c) GIFTS OR DONATIONS-
(1) IN GENERAL- The Secretary of the Treasury shall accept, use, and
disburse gifts or donations of property or money to carry out this section.
(2) NO APPROPRIATION AUTHORIZED- No amount is authorized to be appropriated
to carry out this section.
SEC. 3. DUPLICATE MEDALS.
The Secretary of the Treasury may strike and sell duplicates in bronze of the
gold medal struck pursuant to section 1 under such regulations as the
Secretary may prescribe, at a price sufficient to cover the cost thereof,
including labor, materials, dies, use of machinery, and overhead expenses, and
the cost of the gold medal.
SEC. 4. NATIONAL MEDALS.
The medals struck pursuant to this Act are national medals for purposes of
chapter 51 of title 31, United States Code.

is gripped today by a threat far greater than any she has ever faced. It is the

Throughout the centuries, since the angry Jewish mob

1917 overthrow of the Czar in Russia and the assumption to power in Moscow and

Sixty-Six Million Innocents Perish
Jewish Freemasons Vladimir Lenin and Lev
Bronstein (who deceptively called himself by the Russian surname, Leon Trotsky)
and their fellow Jewish conspirators, with the financial aid of Jewish bankers
(the Warburgs, Rothschilds, et al) and rabbis in the U.S. and Europe,
transformed the Russian Empire into the greatest Orwellian system of monstrous
genocide ever known. By the late 1930s, in a mere two decades, almost 50 million
people, mostly Christians, had been brutalized and slaughtered. By the 80s, the
toll, according to respected historian Aleksandr Solzhenitzyn, had reached a
staggering 66 million. Many perished in the communists’ ruthlessly horrific
gulag concentration camps. There were over 10,000 of these devilish centers of
hell on earth.
Many of the commandants of these gulag camps were
Jewish rabbis, and oh, how they enjoyed breaking the backs of miserable
Christian prisoners, starving them, torturing them, freezing them, and finally,
disposing of their wasted bodies by beating them to death with a billy club or
putting a bullet through their brains.
Hatred Vented on Christians
The murderous Jewish thugs that banded together
with Lenin, Trotsky and their thuggish Gentile cohort, Josef Stalin, vented all
of their hatred on Christians and Churches. The most beautiful of churches were
burned to the ground, gutted out; some were turned into brothels, others into
livestock and hog barns and pens. Pastors and priests were beaten, mocked, and
herded like cattle into trucks and wagons and hauled away, never to be seen
again. Entire congregations were destroyed.
After the Gold
Banks and businesses everywhere were robbed and
plundered. Dentists’ homes and offices were a special target. It was known
that the dentists used gold and silver for tooth fillings. In a short time,
nearly every dentist in the U.S.S.R. had been arrested and taken away as a
“threat to the state” (what we in the U.S. today call “homeland
security”). Their puny stores of silver and gold were confiscated, to be
enjoyed by the new Jewish commissars.
The dentist shortage, as it turned out, backfired
a wee bit. When Comrade Lenin came down one evening with a severe toothache, it
seems there was not a single dentist left in all Moscow—each had been purged
by the Cheka (security forces). Lenin raged at this oversight, but alas, it took
three days to “extract” a lone dentist from a prison camp hundreds of miles
distant where he languished for his alleged “crime” of being a member of the
“rich bourgeoisie.”
Sufferings and Terror Covered Up By Media
Now while all this mayhem, bloodshed, and carnage
was going on, the western media and press were seemingly joyous at the ongoing
Jewish Purim. Newspapers and magazines across America—most owned by
Jews—celebrated with articles and editorials favorable to Lenin and his
communist victors. Hundreds of thousands of Jews in the U.S. packed up their
belongings and headed to Russia. They wanted to be part of the great victory and
aid in setting up the world’s first Zionist regime in the west. It would be
the model for a global Jewish Utopia, founded on the principles of Judaism and
the Talmud.
America’s most famous rabbi at the time,
Stephen Wise, proclaimed loudly, “Judaism is Communism, and Communism is
Judaism.”
The Anti-Semitism Act
Immediately after Lenin and his communist
butchers had consolidated their power base, the new Peoples’ Congress of the
U.S.S.R. passed its very first legislative bill, the Anti-Semitism Act. The new
law punished reported acts of “anti-Semitism” with the ultimate penalty:
Death. The rabbis and their congregations danced in the aisles of their
synagogues throughout the Soviet empire—and began to draw up lists of Gentiles
(goyim) whom they wanted the State to immediately prosecute for this new offense
of anti-Semitism. Jews who turned in suspected anti-Semites were handsomely
rewarded by the authorities.
An Unexpected Situation?
Now, we are told today that, like 9/11 and Pearl
Harbor, no one could have seen coming what happened in Russia and its captive
republics. President Woodrow Wilson, the British and French Prime Ministers, no
one it is said, could ever have expected the Red Terror that ensued. Not even by
the late 30s, when reports began to circulate of the untold sorrow and tragedy
that was occurring, was hardly a word echoed by the controlled, Jewish-owned
press. Tens of millions suffered a cruel and pitiless fate while the world
slept.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt even patterned
his socialistic New Deal on the communist ideal. The New York Times’
ace reporter, Walter Duranty, reported on-scene from Russia and sent back
glowing reports. According to Duranty, economic and social miracles were being
accomplished by the communist regime. The New York Times assured its
readers that true democracy and freedom had become the order of the day in
Soviet Russia, and that Lenin and Stalin were fast allies of America, a force
for good in the world.
This propaganda lasted, in fact, until after
World War II, when the truth began to force its way through, beginning with the
reports from heroic General George Patton in Europe and flowering during the
truth-filled days of the courageous and much despised Wisconsin Senator, Joseph
McCarthy.
Finally, the everyday American and European knew
of the untold horror that was Soviet Communism. Still, the fact that Lenin and
the others were Jews and that their bloody empire was instigated by Talmudic
Zionist beasts, intent on plundering the world through their unique blend of
religion, greed, and hatred, was withheld from the public.
Sergius Nilus and His Prophetic Writings
But, amazingly, there was one solitary man who
saw all this coming. His name: Sergius Nilus. Nilus was an humble Christian, an
Orthodox priest, author, and—as it turned out—a prophet of God. In 1901, an
astonishing manuscript came into his hands. It was entitled, The Protocols
of the Learned Elders of Zion. Nilus got on his knees and begged God to
tell him what to do with this hideous, but revealing, document, the Protocols.
In 1905, Nilus published his prophetic book, The
Great Within the Small, and The Coming of Antichrist. In this book, he
prophesied that the country and people of Russia would soon undergo a terrible
test. The antichrist spirit was about to be loosed. The Protocols,
Nilus wrote, were the harbinger of this monumental evil soon to strike Russia,
and also eventually engulf the whole world.
It would be the Zionist Jews—the Synagogue of
Satan—destined to bring such grievous hardships in our midst. And their plot,
warned Nilus, was meticulously documented in The Protocols of the Learned
Elders of Zion, which Nilus included as a section in his published book.
How incredible that only a dozen years later, in
1917, the Bolshevik Communist’s grotesque crimes and atrocities began with the
overthrow of Russia’s monarchy.
A Plea to the Church
The heartbroken priest, Sergius Nilus, had seen
it coming and had done his duty. He had faithfully published the Protocols.
Moreover, in an epilogue in the book, he inserted a prophetic plea to the Church
to heed the warning. It failed to do so.
Nilus soon became the target of the feared Cheka
secret police. He was arrested. A communist judge angrily told Nilus that he was
responsible for “incalculable damage” to the Soviet State. Nilus was sent to
one of the worst of the prisons where he was tortured for his faith. Broken in
body but not in spirit, after release from his prison cell—a miracle in
itself—the tired and exhausted saint retired to a monastery where he lived as
an outcast for his final three years, before being taken home to glory by the
Lord Jesus.

The First Ten Amendments to the U.S. Constitution are
called the U.S. Bill of Rights. The law expressly forbids the
establishment of a state church. This is the only legal rule of law in
the United States. The original Bill of Rights is a ONE PAGE document.
Any literate second-grader can read it. The Jewish-Egyptian Talmud is
enormous, it includes mysticism and unwritten, hidden texts, and much of
the discourse about it is only written in Hebrew and practiced in

law is the basis of our legal system in America," but that's not
entirely true. Property Rights, Common Law, Natural Law, and the need to
protect individuals from tyrants is the basis for the legal system in
America. American law was designed to protect the people from their
government. Jewish law is not
American law, it's Israeli law. It's also a vast,
ancient library that claims the Jews are God's
"chosen people." It has another set of laws for
non-Jews who must obey a complex set of confusing rules and regulations
that give control over all daily life functions to an agent of the
Jewish "court."

Much like the religious "law" practiced
by priests in the Holy Roman Empire and the Protestant Churches in
Europe, Jewish law does not protect the rights and
liberties of the common born man (as does U.S. law), it protects

U.S. law is also based partially in American colonial
understanding of the Old Testament and the amendment to that law, known
as the New Testament. Jewish law was modified and
changed by the Son of God Himself, known to world as Jesus
Christ. Jewish law is not anywhere near the same
as the principles for Christian Biblical law.
Jesus REFUSED to Walk in Jewry for JEWRY is
CONTRARY unto all.....ALL... Mankind. Jewry is Communism, Communism is

Jesus spent a lot of time arguing against Jewish law.
Christ challenged the authority of the Jewish rabbis and taught His
followers a more peaceful path to Heaven. Old Testament Jews (and the
early Catholic Church)(see Sanhedrin "Catholicos" regularly
slaughtered their enemies (as directed by the vengeful God of the Old
Testament) (Who the Prophets of the LIVING GOD
Testified against) and brutally enforced their religious rules
and laws against their common membership. Jesus was brutally tortured
and crucified for breaking (Their Talmudic
Babylonian manufactured anti-God) Jewish Law. (There is
much Christian scholarship regarding Christ's discourse with the
Pharisees. Bobby Garner's recent studies have uncovered many interesting
aspects to these great "debates.")
The American founders (many of whom were devoutly
religious freemasons) believed in a Universal Creator. (Which
is not Jesus the Christ the Creator) The Creator of all life was
called "God" by almost all of the American founders. They
established every common man's inalienable right to pursue a happy life
comes directly from God the moment man is born. Many founders further
believed that only a nation based in Christian
principles and the Ten Commandments could survive as a form of
government designed to protect God-given, natural rights.
For two hundred years testimony in American courtrooms
was sworn to be true with one hand over the heart and the other hand on
a copy of the Christian Bible. "Do you
swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so
help you God?" Was the question asked by every American court.
That's because almost all Americans are raised to understand (and obey)
the Ten Commandments. Only a handful of Americans have any idea what the
Talmud is. There are also only a handful of Jews who know all the laws
included in the Talmud.
The Oral Tradition which Makes the WORD
of God of None effect

continue to promote good character and strong values. Through the study
and teaching of Jewish law and philosophy you are contributing to a
growing culture of service, citizenship, and responsibility in

different fronts.
Schools across our nation can no longer celebrate
Christian holidays ("Merry Christmas" is considered
politically incorrect.) All American children, including the Christians,
are forced to worship the pagan Earth Goddess (Earth Day) in public
schools. The U.N. International Court at the Hague is also home to
the Temple of Understanding. Etzioni's new communitarian idea
of "community spirit" is based in the Talmud, Hegel, and
the theosophical ideas expressed by Madame Blavatsky and Alister
Crowley. They, along with many other gurus, introduced
Americans to the worship of Lucifer as the ultimate "light
being." One Thousand Points of Light
is a whole program based on Satanic "community oriented"
principles. While I don't approve or condone these wacko belief
systems, it was never a concern of mine if others practiced them, as
long as they didn't harm anyone as part of their creepy rituals. But in
a communitarianized Amerika, we'll all be required to bow before a court
enforcing Talmudic, communitarian laws.

injustices
In a recent CNN poll, over 80% of American respondents
voted to keep the words "One nation under God" in the Pledge
of Allegiance, and the words "In God We Trust" on Federal
Reserve Notes. Yet, for some reason American justices of the peace can
no longer hang the Ten Commandments in their halls of justice.
We find all this Talmudic Law "balancing"
very amazing considering what's happened to Judge Moore who
refused to follow a court ruling that decided he must remove a monument
of the Ten Commandments in the Alabama state Supreme courthouse. In our
layman's opinion, we think the Torah and the Biblical Old Testament are
what most Christians understand to be Judaic law.
The Written TORAH, not the oral tradition of the
choose religion which is contrary unto all mankind
Others tell us Judaism is not a religion, it is law
religionized. The Talmud is the controversy, even though Judaic-Talmudic
law includes several books that include the Old Testament-Torah. Not
only was the Old Testament "word of God" modified and edited
by scholars throughout the centuries, portions of the Talmud were never
written down, they contained secrets passed orally only to elite
initiates (SAME) (much like Freemasonry).
As with the (Judeo) Christians and the many
very different denominations that represent it, the Torah-Talmud is also
an area of contention among the varieties of Jewish people. The key
factor to Talmudic law is that it is not fixed law, it is constantly
challenged and rewritten, according to case law precepts. And, unlike
the Christian arguments, anyone who objects to the overall authority of
Talmudic law, or even portions of it, is labeled anti-Semitic

When these criminal activities are discovered and exposed to
the public, and because Chabad poses as a Jewish organization, anti-Jewish
hatred is created. That is, Chabad creates anti-semitism in the world.

schools is NOT to provide a good Jewish education for their students. The

Chabad is known by Jewish communities around the world as a
trouble maker. Chabad makes trouble and creates Hillul HaShem (desecration of G-d's
name) and Sinat Chinam (senseless hatred), every day, wherever they go. Chabad
always wants to take full control of the local Jewish community in every part of
the world. They fight the local Jewish community, try to steal their members,
their schools, and their synagogues. They try to convince the local government
that they are the only true and legal representatives of the local Jewish
community, and that they speak for the local Jewish community.
In order to achieve their purposes, Chabad
emissaries and followers routinely engage in various acts of violence, crime,
and deceit. Sometimes, Chabad makes false accusations against the local
Jewish leaders in order to discredit them, having them arrested by the local
authorities, or even expelled from the local community. And sometimes Chabad
members fight amongst themselves over control of a particular territory or
property. Many times, money is at the center of those disputes. The following is
a very brief summary of some of the Chabad-Lubavitch fights, disputes, and
controversies in the USA.

Prospect Heights
In 2006 a dispute over territorial rights erupted in Prospect
Heights, Brooklyn. Rabbi Kasriel Kastel appointed Rabbi Ari Kirschenbaum as a
shliach (Chabad emissary) in the neighbourhood. Rabbi Shimon Hecht of
neighbouring Park Slope disputed his right to do so, claiming that Prospect
Heights was within his "territory". Shortly afterwards Hecht's niece
and her husband moved into the area, his son started a Chabad center of his own,
and his wife opened a branch of her day-care center in the area. Kastel filed a
lawsuit against Hecht in a Beit Din alleging that he has overstepped his
boundaries by undermining Kirschenbaum's activities. Kastel says the problem is
that there aren't enough up-and-coming areas to go around. "There are maybe
100 or 200 guys who trained their whole lives, and are looking for an
opportunity to go. Smaller communities which would never be considered before
are getting people." He attributed the case to gentrification of
neighbourhoods, which present a tempting prospect to motivated Chabad
emissaries. In 2008 the Beit Din Ruled in favor of Rabbi Hecht.
Woodstock
In 2005 two rival Chabad emissaries became embroiled in a
public row over who was the bona fide emissary of Chabad to the wealthy
community of Woodstock, New York. Rabbi Yacov Borenstein, who opened a Chabad
center in Poughkeepsie 20 years ago and has since launched smaller centers in
New Paltz, Goshen and Woodstock was pitted against Rabbi Yitzchok Hecht who
opened a specific branch for Woodstock in 2005.
Borenstein told the press: "Yitzchok [Hecht] is so upset
he didn't get Woodstock, it is a wealthy place and he wanted to get real estate
there... The Hechts are looking for power. They think they own Ulster County.
They think they own Sullivan County. And, now, they think they own Dutchess
County... They told me they would bury me alive. I said, if that's the will of
God, I will accept it with love."
Borenstein, a messianist, was fired by the Chabad
organisation in the 1990s, according to Hecht, and therefore had no right to
establish a Chabad synagogue. Hecht responded saying "he knows he is not
authorized and is not part of the system. Anyone can call themselves Lubovitcher
and say he is here to do the Rebbe's work, but that doesn't make you part of the
system." The dispute came to public attention after both groups attempted
to establish a Menorah for Hanukkah on the village green, they subsequently
agreed to take turns at lighting the menorah on an annual basis. Borenstein
argued that a religious court ruling in 2004 had found that he was Chabad's sole
emissary to Ulster County, Hecht argued that the ruling was invalid as the court
did not have the authority to rule on cases outside of New York City. Borenstein
was involved in an almost identical dispute with the Chabad emissary to Orange
County, New York, Rabbi Pesach Burston.
Postville
Aaron Rubashkin, a Lubavitcher butcher from Brooklyn, purchased a disused
meat-packing plant in the declining town of Postville, Iowa in 1987 and turned
it into a facility for the rendition of Glatt kosher meat. The influx of Chabad
adherents from New York to manage the facility and to ensure Kashrut led to
demographic changes in the staunchly Lutheran town of 1,500 residents.
Journalist and Professor Stephen Bloom spent months living amongst the townsfolk
and wrote a book on the conflict between the Lubavitchers and the native
residents entitled "Postville: A Clash of Cultures in Heartland
America", that was heavily critical of what he saw as the bigotry and
insularity of the Chabad residents, as well as their business practices.
Armed robbery
On September 27, 1991 two married Chabad Rabbinical students
who were working as ritual slaughterers at the Postville Plant, Phillip Stillman
from Crown Heights and Rabbi Pinchas Lew, son of senior London Chabad rabbi
Shmuel Lew, committed a series of armed robberies in the Postville area, one of
which led to Stillman shooting and critically injuring a convenience store
clerk, Marion Bakken, in Decorah, Iowa. Using a borrowed Oldsmobile, with the
licence plates removed, they drove to the town of Ossian, Iowa. When they
arrived, Stillman pulled out a .357 Magnum on a retired schoolteacher working a
popcorn stand and demanded his coins and bills. They then headed to Decorah
where they raided a convenience store. As the clerk, a 50-year-old grandmother,
rang a silent alarm, Stillman shot her, leaving a bullet permanently lodged next
to her spine causing her ongoing pain.
Stillman pleaded guilty to attempted murder and first-degree
robbery. While awaiting sentencing, on March 8, 1992 Stillman escaped from jail
but was recaptured within five minutes. Stillman was sentenced to 55 years in
jail for three offences, to be served consecutively.
Bloom wrote: "None of the Hasidim denounced the shooting
of Marion Bakken. No one apologized to her. They didn't raise money for her. No
one from the Jewish community donated anything to her as a token of their sorrow
or shame... They didn't even offer her free meat from the slaughterhouse."
Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew, whose $200,000 bond had been paid
by a "hasidic organisation in Brooklyn", made an Alford plea to
conspiracy to commit a forcible felony as part of a plea bargain and was
sentenced to 10 years in jail and 5 years on probation for driving the getaway
car. After complaining that the food was not kosher, he was released on
probation after three months on condition that he attend a religious
rehabilitation program. Marion Bakken filed a civil suit for damages. On March
18, 1994, a jury returned a verdict that ordered Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew to pay
her and her husband $1.43 million plus 10 percent annual interest.
Pinchas Lew
Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew gained rabbinical ordination while
on probation for the 1991 armed robbery. He subsequently moved to Chapel Hill in
1997 where on the instructions of Chabad leadership he set up a Chabad house,
and was the shaliach to the University of North Carolina. After three years,
news of his past came to light. Following the publication of Postville many in
the community demanded he leave, particularly after it emerged that he had not
paid any of the restitution money that the court awarded his victim. In a public
meeting at the Duke University campus on May 16, 2001 Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew
refused to discuss the issue of restitution payments. This and press reports the
victim had said that Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew had never apologised made some in
the community uneasy. By this time Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew had five children,
and used the name Pinny Lew. The Chabad movement appointed Chabad Rabbi Pinchas
Lew as the emissary to Chapel Hill despite being aware of his past, according to
Chabad Rabbi Yossi Groner (son of Leib Groner), the emissary in Charlotte.
Chabad Rabbi Yossi Groner noted that Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew was completely
reformed, spiritual, remorseful and "is an excellent person".
In June 2001, Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew was arrested and
charged with a misdemeanor offence of indecently exposing himself while touching
his genitals to his Hispanic housekeeper on May 16, a few hours before he
defended himself at the public meeting at Duke. On August 10 the case came to
trial.
The maid testified that: "... she and Chabad Rabbi
Pinchas Lew were alone in the house on the morning of May 16. After cleaning the
bathroom, she asked Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew for a new vacuum cleaner bag. When
he came down the stairs, he was wearing a green bathrobe. After giving her a
bag, he exposed himself to her, touched his genitals and asked, 'Do you like
it?' Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew then turned the bolt to lock the front door and
exposed himself again to her in the foyer, asking, 'Do you like it?'"
Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew's attorney argued that the crime of
indecent exposure does not apply on private property, and as that had been the
police's initial charge the judge dismissed the case on a technicality.
Following the case a Chabad Beit Din convened and ruled that Chabad Rabbi
Pinchas Lew's position had become untenable and that he would have to retire,
and he left his posting in November 2001.
Chabad Rabbi Pinchas Lew subsequently wrote articles for
Chabad websites on modesty and family purity on behalf of Chabad of Puerto Rico.
Satmar-Chabad disturbances
On a number of occasions through the 1980s, Chabad and Satmar
Hasidim became involved in violent brawls over various issues. In 1983 tensions
were elevated and rioting ensued. Chabad spokesman Yehuda Krinsky blamed the
Satmars, saying that the attacks were "definitely Satmar. Lubavitch is a
victim of brutal attacks by Satmar. Their record of terrorism goes on." In
a letter to Time (magazine) he repeated his allegations, arguing that it was
false to claim that both groups were guilty.
Hollywood, Florida
A controversy about the right of Chabad to conduct religious
services in two adjoining homes in Hollywood, Florida, was termed "the most
divisive issue in Hollywood history" by state officials. Chabad activists
appealed to the Jews on the zoning commission to vote "with their
hearts" and outvote the non-Jewish members of the commission to allow
Chabad to continue to use the homes as a synagogue.
Sholom Ber Levitin
In 1989, the chief Chabad emissary to Seattle Rabbi Sholom
Ber Levitin was convicted of being part of an international money laundering
ring that was headed by Israeli Adi Tal. Chabad Rabbi Sholom Levitin defended
his actions, saying that the proceeds were going to Israel: "I was
motivated by my desire to help my brethren in need, with funds being transferred
to Israel"
Chabad Rabbi Sholom Levitin, one of 11 charged, was sentenced
to a $10,000 fine and a 30-day imprisonment.
Control of 770 Eastern Parkway
The synagogue is currently being run by a team of Gabbaim who
are elected by members of the Crown Heights community every three years. For
many years these people have been exclusively messianist and have set the tone
for the building. In 2005, following the plaque disturbance (see below), the
Gabbaim, who had incorporated themselves as "Congregation Lubavitch
Inc." went to court challenging the right of Agudas Chasidei Chabad and
Merkos L'inyonei Chinuch to control the building and the synagogue. In 2006 ACC
and MLC won the case over ownership of the building and served CLI with an
eviction notice, and in December 2007 the New York Supreme Court upheld the
eviction. CLI is expected to appeal this decision.
2004 disturbances
On December 15, 2004 a disturbance erupted in Crown Heights
between anti-messianists and messianists that led to nine arrests after the
official movement attempted to install a plaque, noting that Schneerson was
dead. Gil Schwartz explained the reasoning of the messianists: "He's alive
- they are writing that the rebbe is dead!" Another messianist, Meyer
Romano, the next day said: "The Rebbe is Superman and [Rabbi] Yehuda
Krinsky is Lex Luthor, you understand?"
2006 disturbances
Further disturbances following the Annual emissaries
conference in November 2006 led to a number of injuries and damage to the
property according to the senior emissary Dovid Eliezire as quoted in the Jewish
Week. He wrote an article on the events that was published in Chabad periodicals
and online.
2007 ruling
On December 27, 2007 Judge Ira Harkavy of the New York State
Supreme Court ruled that the Gabbaim did not have the right to control the
synagogue and gave the Chabad organisations that own the building the right to
evict the Gabbaim. The Gabbaim expressed their intent to appeal, pending the
transfer of a $500,000 bond and an undertaking to maintain the synagogue in the
meantime. According to the Jewish Week, it remains unclear how the owners will
exercise the rights the court has given them and some are predicting serious
violence if any attempts are made to enforce the ruling.
Edward Rudofsky, attorney for the community, warned of
violence: "If people are provoked, I guess you can provoke anybody to the
point where they don't do what they should do and would do under normal
circumstances. If they're provoked enough I don't want to speculate what will
happen. I don't want to sound like I'm condoning it, because I'm not."

Chabad leaders arrested for alleged theft,
money-laundering
The leader of the "Young Chabad" movement in Israel and four
other suspects were arrested by Israeli police yesterday on suspicion of
embezzling $60 million from donated monies, tax evasion and
money-laundering. The arrests of Yosef Aharonov, his assistant and the
others followed a collaborative secret eight-month investigation by the
Central District Fraud Squad and the Tax Authority.
Donated money never reached its destination, police suspect, and the
money-laundering was effected in part by paying salaries to people under
the table, and by "paying" money into fictitious bank accounts,
Channel 10 reported last night. Businessmen reportedly abused the
mechanism by "donating" money to the organization that they'd
simply get back by these methods, while taking advantage of the tax break
on charitable donations, not to mention the adulation.
"We discovered that money was changing hands left and right, and
it seems that the suspects were treating the money as though it belonged
to them personally," investigating officer Avi Mantzour told Haaretz
yesterday.
Following a raid on Kfar Chabad yesterday, the police are expected to
summon various powerful figures in Israel for questioning in the affair.
Last night Israeli-Russian billionaire Arcadi Gaydamak, who had reportedly
donated about a million shekels to the Chabad association, told Channel 10
news that he knows nothing of malfeasance, but police suspect that he is
among the business personalities that donated money and got it back by
illegal means.
Aside from organization director Aharonov, the police also arrested his
deputy, the accountant and a signatory. The court yesterday extended
Aharonov's detention by eight days. The others will be appearing before
the court for remand hearings this morning.
Aharonov's legal counsel, attorney Gideon Fisher, called the arrest a
"scandalous false arrest designed to terrorize my client". He
claimed that the police investigation began following a financial claim
that the Young Chabad organization had filed against a former association
leader, claiming that the latter had stolen more than NIS 17 million.
"Trying to save his skin by turning the tables, the former official
chose to make false allegations and try to ruin the good name of dozens of
families in Kfar Chabad," Fisher said, adding that the Young Chabad
movement strictly adheres to the law.
Young Chabad is a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading the
word of Torah and the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic messages. It was founded by
the Lubavitcher rabbi (and is also known an Lubavitch Youth), to serve as
the operational arm of the Chabad movement.
It is the most dominant of the ultra-Orthodox movement's arms in
Israel, and runs on a budget of about NIS 30 million a year.
From that amount, about 20 percent is allocated by the state. For the
rest, Chabad relies largely on donations, including from leading business
figures in Israel.
By the way, that annual figure of NIS 30 million (and NIS 7 million
from government) is based on reports by Young Chabad to the Registrar of
Associations.
But the police and Tax Authority now suspect that Young Chabad's real
income was far higher. They suspect that Young Chabad organization really
does use that roughly NIS 30 million to promote its causes, including the
establishment of day-care centers for the poor. But they suspect that the
organization also receives tens of millions more, which it neither reports
nor handles transparently.
The investigation began after the Registrar of Associations complained
about irregularities in Young Chabad's books. The open stage of the
investigation began yesterday.
Aharonov, the Young Chabad manager, is suspected of theft by a manager,
fraud under grave circumstances, falsifying corporate documents, hiding
income and abetting tax evasion.
Evidence shows that a great deal of money passed from the Young Chabad
bank account to both private and fictitious bank accounts linked to
Aharonov and his cronies. "Fictitious bank account" means that
documents showing transfers refer to accounts that don't actually exist.
The fiction went on with donations by major businessmen. "They would
donate the money, and receive an income tax break on it. But we can now
say that they got it back, though a certain sum would remain in the
association's hands," Mantzour said.
Police also say that Young Chabad laundered money by paying some
workers in cash, in order to help them dodge taxes, too
Alleged Chabad Money Laundering Linked To Medical Fraud
Case
As
the College of Physicians and Sugeons pursues its own charges against Dr.
Sokol, legally piggybacking on Dr. Sokol's guilty plea, the initial police
allegations were of a scheme in which he sent proceeds of his billing in 26
installments over four years to Colel Chabad Lubavitch Foundation of Israel,
which then allegedly issued him tax receipts, and returned between 80% and
95% of the money in the form of bank drafts made out to Dr. Sokol's offshore
company, Moshe Shmuel Deitsh Corp.

of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is to bring discipline proceedings
against Sokol Wednesday.

In 2009, when he was facing trial on criminal charges of fraud and money
laundering, Dr. Lorne Wayne Sokol, 51, an expert in pain treatment and a
frequent witness at Workplace Safety Insurance Board hearings who runs a
clinic in Toronto's Corso Italia neighbourhood, made a deal with Ontario
prosecutors.
He repaid the $3,511,356.62 that police alleged he defrauded between 2003
and 2007 from the province's health plan by claiming reimbursement for
pain injections that were not compensable, including "nerve block,
trigger point, bursa joint and ganglion tendon injections."
In return for this repayment, plus his guilty plea to the charge of
submitting billing that did not comply with Ontario's Health Insurance
Act, the criminal charges were dropped, and the Crown joined the defence
in recommending that Dr. Sokol pay the maximum fine, $25,000, plus a
victim surcharge of $6,125, but be spared the potential 12-month prison
sentence.
Counsel for the Crown at Dr. Sokol's guilty plea in the Ontario Court of
Justice on Dec. 14, 2009, said the trial would have involved 20 patient
witnesses, five expert witnesses, "and a number of other witnesses,
and that's just for the Crown." Had it gone to trial, it would have
been a months-long "battle of the experts," said Crown lawyer
Philip Perlmutter, according to a transcript.
That deal marked the culmination of extensive pretrial legal wrangling
during which two initial criminal charges of fraud over $5,000 were
expanded to include money laundering and possession of the proceeds of
crime after search warrants were executed at Dr. Sokol's Toronto home, his
office, and the Montreal headquarters of Colel Chabad Lubavitch Foundation
of Israel in Montreal, a Hasidic Jewish charity.
On Wednesday morning, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is
to bring discipline proceedings of its own against Dr. Sokol, for which it
could revoke or suspend his medical licence. It alleges he is guilty of an
offence relevant to his suitability to practice - the same provincial
offence to which he pleaded guilty in 2009 - and also conduct unbecoming
of a physician, and disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct.
As the College pursues its own charges, legally piggybacking on Dr.
Sokol's guilty plea, the National Post has learned that the initial police
allegations were of a scheme in which he sent proceeds of his billing in
26 installments over four years to Colel Chabad Lubavitch Foundation of
Israel, which then allegedly issued him tax receipts, and returned between
80% and 95% of the money in the form of bank drafts made out to Dr.
Sokol's offshore company, Moshe Shmuel Deitsh Corp.
None of the allegations made by police have been tested in court.
In effect, the allegations were that Dr. Sokol took millions from Ontario,
laundered it in Quebec, sent it to an offshore account, then claimed to
Canada the money had gone to charity.
Those details, from information submitted to court by police to support a
search warrant on the charity, are included in court pleadings filed by
Dr. Sokol's lawyer in 2009, requesting judicial review of a demand by the
Minister of National Revenue for Dr. Sokol's tax records from 2003 to
2006.
In his tax filings for 2005 and 2006, Dr. Sokol claimed charitable
donations for the full amount of the receipts he received from the
charity, the documents state.
According to the Belize Government Gazette, a government publication in
Belmopan City, there is a Moshe Shmuel Deitsh Corp, number 46041, which
was struck off the country's International Business Company register in
2009 for failing to pay the annual licence fee.
No action was taken by Canada Revenue Agency against the Montreal charity,
and the same president and secretary treasurer, who is also a rabbi, have
been in place for at least 10 years.
In a phone interview, the president, Abraham Neuwirth of Montreal, an
unemployed travel agent who said he is merely the president "on
paper," said he knew nothing about the tax-receipted donations from
Dr. Sokol, and nothing about the charity of which the Canada Revenue
Agency has listed him as president for a decade.
"It is customary for charitable organizations to take businessmen in
the community and give them an honourary title called 'president' in the
hope and anticipation that their business, and the people who deal
business with them, will contribute," he said. "I'm out of
business a few years. As a matter of fact, I'm unemployed, but my name
unfortunately is still on the paper [filed with the CRA]."
"That's basically it," he said, describing himself as
"somebody in the community, who's religious, observant, yet whose one
foot is in the synagogue, the other foot is out in the world,"
somebody who can "attract other potential contributors."
He said he has zero involvement in the operation of the charity, that he
has never been to its headquarters on Kent Avenue in Montreal, has never
had a meeting, phone call, or correspondence with anyone else from the
charity. He does not know who keeps the books or issues tax receipts,
which under his 10-year presidency totalled almost $15-million. He said he
knew Zalman Zirkind as a former classmate, but the CRA lists Mr. Zirkind,
a rabbi, as the Secretary Treasurer, one of three listed directors with
Mr. Neuwirth. Reached by phone, Mr. Zirkind said he would call back and
never did.
"That is how it works for all charity organizations across the
board," said Mr. Neuwirth, explaining his unfamiliarity with the
charity of which he is the president. "All I know is, regarding my
personal stature as president, you could put me down as 'admiral,'
'president,' 'general.' I happen to think this organization is a wonderful
organization."
"If such allegations are true, I would be disgusted," he said.
"The first thing I would do is I would write a letter to the head
head of the organization in New York."
Chabad Lubavitch is an orthodox Jewish group based in Brooklyn, with
independent branches all over the world, including 23 registered charities
across Canada. In the 2008 attacks on Mumbai, terrorists specifically
targeted its office there, Nariman House, and killed six people.
Colel Chabad Lubavitch Foundation of Israel, a legally separate charity,
is listed by the Canada Revenue Agency in the category of "support of
schools and education."
In tax filings, it states that it is not subordinate to any larger group.
It reports that it employs one person, who is paid less than $40,000
except in 2005, when it was less than $80,000. A second employee in the
lower range came on briefly in 2008.
Its total assets were about $25,000 in 2000, when it issued about $700,000
in tax receipts, and reported to CRA that it used the money to fund trips
by students to a school in Israel, the Mercaz Outreach Colel Shamir, and
to provide literature about Jewish holidays to promote Jewish culture.
The next year, its assets had tripled, though the tax receipted gifts were
roughly the same. After a drop in 2002, the annual tax receipted gifts
rose steeply, to more than $1.5-million in 2003, $1.1-million in 2004,
$3.3-million in 2005, $4.3-million in 2006, $2.5million in 2007, then
dropped to $204,856 in 2008.
The billing that did not comply with the Ontario Health Insurance Act to
which Dr. Sokol admitted took place between March, 2003, and February,
2007. He repaid the money in late 2009.
In the two most recent fiscal years, the charity has not reported revenue
greater than $100,000.
If a charity was to be found to be involved in activities that violate the
Income Tax Act it could face consequences including revocation of its
status.
"An audit would reveal whether they are in compliance with the income
tax act or not," said Philippe Brideau, CRA spokesman.
He would not speculate whether allegedly issuing tax receipts for
donations that are returned to the donor is in violation of the act. Colel
Chabad Lubavitch Foundation of Israel remains a registered charity.
Contested hearings at the CPSO sometimes take dozens of days spread over

Today I spoke on the phone with Abraham Korf, the Miami rabbi
who serves as regional director of all 145 chabads in Florida. Rabbi Korf
confirmed that Scott Rothstein's former chabad, the Downtown Jewish Center
Chabad in Fort Lauderdale, isn't sanctioned by the World Lubavitch
Headquarters.
He said Rabbi Schneur Kaplan has nothing to do with the hierarchy anymore.
"He is out of the picture," said Rabbi Korf of Kaplan. "He
does not follow the rules and regulations that chabad stands for, so we
removed him from the group. I can't get into details, but he did not want
to follow the rules. If everyone did what they want, not act by the
regulations, there would be no more chabad."
Rabbi Korf said he didn't know Scott Rothstein's name before the Ponzi
scheme imploded, but he had heard about the mysterious lawyer who was giving
lots of money to Kaplan's renegade operation.
"I heard about somebody that gave Rabbi Kaplan a lot of money, a
certain lawyer, but I didn't know who that lawyer was and I don't how
much money he gave," said Korf. "I had just heard that he had
gotten from this lawyer a lot of money."
Although it is known that Kaplan had broken ranks from Fort Lauderdale
Rabbi Moishe Meir Lipszyc, Korf wouldn't get into details of what caused
the split and, ultimately, the excommunication of sorts of Kaplan. He said he
would have to get authorization from his own superiors in the organization to
tell the story and wasn't inclined to do it.
"We warned [Kaplan] many times, but it didn't help, so we had to
remove him," said Korf. "It's not right for me to tell what he
did. We have our own system. We don't do things in public, and such things
could lead to court cases, and I don't have the money or the time to get
involved in such things."

NEW YORK (JTA) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is canceling an
ad campaign aimed at luring Israeli expatriates home that
some American Jews have found offensive.
The ads, produced by Israel’s Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, attempt to
convey the message that the children and families of
Israeli expats will not have Israeli identities if they stay in the Diaspora.
This week, the Jewish Federations of North America called the ads
"insulting," and the head of the Anti-Defamation League said they were
"demeaning."
What ...not anti-Semitic? What if a group of Goyim were
to have placed that ad?
"The Ministry of Immigrant Absorption's campaign clearly did not take
into account American Jewish sensibilities, and we regret any offense it
caused," Michael Oren, Israel's ambassador to the
United States, said in a statement. "The campaign, which aimed to
encourage Israelis living abroad to return home, was a laudable one, and it was
not meant to cause insult. The campaign was conducted without the knowledge or
approval of the Prime Minister's Office or of the Israeli Embassy in Washington.
Prime Minister Netanyahu, once made aware of the campaign, ordered the videos
immediately removed from YouTube, and he ordered that the billboards be removed
as well. The prime minister deeply values the American Jewish community and is
committed to deepening ties between it and the State of Israel."
Though the ad campaign, consisting of billboards and three videos running on
YouTube and on some Israeli sattelite TV channels, is more than two months old,
Jewish organizations appear to have been galvanized by a report on The Jewish
Channel that was highlighted Wednesday by The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg in a

post titled "Netanyahu Government Suggests
Israelis Avoid Marrying American Jews." Goldberg called the ads a
“demonstration of Israeli contempt for American Jews.”

opposed to the messaging that American Jews do not understand Israel,” Jewish
Federations leaders wrote to their board of trustees. “We share the concerns
many of you have expressed that this outrageous and insulting message could harm

The Anti-Defamation League's national director, Abraham Foxman, told Haaretz
the ads were "heavy-handed, and even demeaning."
According to the Haaretz report, Israeli's Foreign Ministry consulted with
the Absorption Ministry after receiving several complaints from American Jews and
was told that the feedback from Israelis who live in the United States was
positive.

I'm no expert on Ron Paul's Israel views, and I reserve the right to be
outraged later by what I don't know now, but what I find interesting here
is the namecalling-to-content ratio. Here, let's count it out:
Name-calling: 1) "misguided and extreme," 2)
"so far outside of the mainstream," 3) "like...Barack Obama,"
4) "will appeal to a very narrow constituency," 5)
"dangerous isolationist vision," 6) "uniformly
derided," 7) "claim[s] to be non-interventionist," 8)
"Isolationist," 9) "differen[t]," 10)
"crank."
Content: 1) "virulent and harsh critic of
Israel," 2) "voiced his objection to the...killing of Osama Bin
Laden," 3) "routinely adopted Arab talking points," 4)
"compar[ed] Gaza to 'a concentration camp," 5) "would
create a global power vacuum that would likely be filled by supporters of
Israel's enemies."
Looking at the five content items, 1) is supported only by 4); 2)
intentionally left out the phrase "legal
method of," 3) is a general and largely contentless insult, 4) is
a discrete piece of hyperbole that rubs my literalist
heart the wrong way, too (though the full
quote contains two qualifiers: "Palestinians are virtually in
like a concentration camp"); and 5) is the Transitive Property run
amok, though it does at least hint at the real-world question/critique of what,
exactly, replaces hegemonic American responsibility for world affairs, and
which bad actors are more likely to do badder things.
Does this, plus Paul's principled rejection of all foreign
aid, his relentless espousal of the "blowback" theory of
terrorism, and his negligence in allowing
to appear under his name during the first Clinton administration some newsletter
conspiracy theorizing about (among other things) the
1993 World Trade Center bombing being a "setup by the Israeli Mossad"
enough to disqualify him for the grownups' table on foreign policy?
Well, I'm neither Republican nor Jewish nor a member of a Coalition, so
the immediate event is not my call (though I do believe that
dissonance is more illuminating than seven-part harmony). That said, this
seems to me more of an attempt to draw boundaries around acceptable policy
discourse than any active concern that President Dr. Ron Paul would be
actively anti-Israel or anti-Semitic. The fact that he is a political
outlier on an effectively bipartisan U.S. foreign policy that has become
increasingly expensive and unpopular strikes me as a count in favor, not
against. And nothing Paul said at last month's largely grotesque American
Enterprise Institute foreign policy debate struck me as more
objectionable than Mitt Romney's grovel that his
first overseas trip as president would be to Israel.
Some other bullet-pointed observations and gratuitous commenter bait:
* TheNew York Sun editorial board, not known for its
unfriendliness toward Israel, defended
Paul both from charges of anti-Semitism and foreign policy insanity
last year.
* Some Republicans tried to bar Paul from all debates back in
May 2007 on grounds that his overall foreign policy views were "just
so off the wall and out of whack."

expert who says his decoding of a Mayan tablet with a reference to a 2012
date denotes a transition to a new era and not a
possible end of the world as others have read it.

The interpretation of the hieroglyphs by Sven Gronemeyer of La Trobe
University in Australia was presented for the first time on Wednesday at
the archaeological site of Palenque in southern Mexico.
His comments came less than a week after Mexico's archaeology
institute acknowledged there was a second reference
to the 2012 date in Mayan inscriptions, touching off another round of talk
about whether it predicts the end of the world.

Gronemeyer has been studying the stone tablet, which was found years
ago at the archaeological site of Tortuguero in Mexico's Gulf coast state
of Tabasco.
He said the inscription described the return of the mysterious Mayan
god Bolon Yokte at the end of a 13th period of 400 years, known as Baktuns,
on the equivalent of 21 December 2012. Mayans considered 13 a sacred
number. There is nothing apocalyptic in the date, he said.
The text was carved about 1,300 years ago. The stone has cracked, which
has made the end of the passage almost illegible.
Gronemeyer said the inscription referred to the end of a cycle of 5,125
years since the beginning of the Mayan Long Count calendar in 3113 BC.
The fragment was a prophecy of the then ruler Bahlam Ajaw, who
wanted to plan the passage of the god, Gronemeyer said.
"For the elite of Tortuguero, it was clear they had to prepare the
land for the return of the god and for Bahlam Ajaw to be the host of this
initiation," he said.
Bolon Yokte, the god of
creation and war, was to prevail that day in a sanctuary of
Tortuguero.
"The date acquired a symbolic value because it is seen as a
reflection of the day of creation," Gronemeyer said. "It is the
passage of a god and not necessarily a great leap for humanity."
Last week, Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology said a second
inscription mentioning the 2012 date was on the carved or moulded face of
a brick found at the Comalcalco ruin, near the Tortuguero site. It is
being kept at the institute and is not on display.
Many experts doubt the second inscription is a definite reference to
the date cited as the possible end of the world, saying there is no future
tense marking like there is in the Tortuguero tablet.
The institute has tried to dispel talk of a 2012 apocalypse, the
subject of numerous postings and stories on the internet. Its latest step
was to arrange a special round table of Mayan experts this week at
Palenque, which is where Gronemeyer made his comments.
