Well, it kinda hit home tonight after a buddy did some patient
pounding for a while on me "eyes". though Ive been talking about
"layers", "paralels", and "simlitudes" throughout
bible prophecy, i
didnt SEE what I was talking on a certain prophecy clearly until
tonight. The reason why was an over focus on the temple Mount and the

U.S. vetoes UN Security Council resolution condemning Beit Hanun shelling
By Shlomo Shamir, Haaretz Correspondent, Haaretz Service and Itim
The United States on Saturday vetoed a United
Nations Security Council draft resolution condemning Israel for Wednesday's
shelling of Beit Hanun, in which 20 Palestinian civilians were killed, and
urging a quick withdrawal of Israel Defense Forces troops from the area.
10 of the council's 15 members voted for the measure, while Britain, Denmark,
Japan and Slovakia abstained.
U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Bolton said the draft resolution was "biased
against Israel and politically motivated."
"This resolution does not display an evenhanded characterization of the recent events in Gaza, nor does it advance the cause of Israeli-Palestinian peace to which we aspire and for which we are working assiduously," he told the Security Council.
The resolution, proposed by Qatar, originally called for an "immediate
investigation into the massacre that took place in Beit Hanun" and for
Israel to "cease all violence against the civilian population in the
occupied territories, including East Jerusalem."
The draft also demanded the deployment of UN observers in the area to oversee
the implementation of the cease-fire outlined in the draft.
The Qatari delegation re-worded the proposal following objections raised to
the first draft.
In the new version, the statement no longer called
the shelling a "massacre," nor demanded the deployment of UN
observers.
In place of observers, the new resolution called for an "international
mechanism" to be deployed in Gaza to protect the civilian population.
Instead of demanding the formation of a panel of inquiry, the new proposal
called for the formation of a fact-finding team.
The new resolution also included a demand that Israel withdraw its soldiers
from the Gaza Strip, and a condemnation of Qassam rockets fired into Israel.
Still, it did not demand the release of soldier Gilad Shalit, kidnapped in
June, Army Radio reported.
The resolution also urged the international community to work to end the
political stalemate between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
In spite of the resolution's altered wording, Israel maintained that the
resolution was one-sided and excessive.
The resolution would have called on UN Secretary General Koffi Annan to send a
panel of inquiry to Gaza to examine the circumstances of the shelling.

Democrats won control of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate in the Tuesday elections, the latter conclusively decided with Sen. George Allen’s concession of the Virginia race Thursday afternoon.
Bipartisan support for Israel would be constant, Jewish and Israeli officials said, defying a pre-election barrage of Republic Jewish Coalition ads that insisted that the Democratic Party’s support for Israel was eroding.

Most children in interfaith households in Boston are being raised as Jews, a new study found.
Almost 60 percent of such children in Boston are being raised Jewishly, far above the national average, according to preliminary findings released Friday from the 2005 Greater Boston Jewish Community Study. The only situation in which Iran will agree to compromise on the continuation of its nuclear program if it sees genuine reasons to fear reprisals, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Newsweek on Saturday ahead of his trip to Washington to meet with US President George W. Bush.
"Iran must start to fear," Olmert declared, stressing that Israel would favor a compromise that would prevent Iran from achieving nuclear capability.
"This is the first time in many years that the official leader of a major nation with more than 70 million citizens has talked … of the liquidation of another nation that is a member of the United Nations. [Iranian President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad is a man who is ready to commit crimes against humanity, and he has to be stopped," Olmert continued.
