Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years after the date of its submission for ratification:

Those are words from the book of Revelation in the Bible. With the passage of the Real ID Act recently in the U.S. Senate, those words might soon become more meaningful in each of our lives. In George Orwell's novel, "1984," every member of society is under near constant watch, technological advancements are used primarily for public surveillance, and anonymity is a luxury afforded only to society's outcasts. The stories told in Orwell's novel may no longer be just a fictional tale. Orwell's distopian vision of the future could very well become a reality because of the passage of the Real ID Act. The essence of the Real ID Act makes perfect sense. Its goal is to get state licensing agencies on the same sheet of music so that undocumented immigrants cannot obtain valid licenses from state agencies. The closing of this loophole, according to U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., will prevent another attack like Sept. 11. In actuality, this Act does little to prevent this occurrence and much to curtail every American's most basic liberties. The secrecy behind this bill and what its passage means to our everyday lives makes one wonder why it would be passed. The bill was never debated before the U.S. Senate; instead it was attached to a military spending bill. By doing this, senators were all but forced to vote for the Real ID Act so they don't appear opposed to the war on terror and unsupportive of our troops.

 Underhanded tactics notwithstanding, the passage of this act makes private, everyday activities subject to government scrutiny. Once Real ID takes effect three years from now, every citizen will need a federally-approved ID card to travel by plane, open a bank account, get a job, join the military or take advantage of virtually any government service.

 Personal information once available only to state agencies will now be automatically collected in a federal database. Retinal scanning and fingerprinting are parts of this act likely to be approved by the Department of Homeland Security. Perhaps the worst part of this act, however, is that the Department of Homeland Security will be allowed to outfit these IDs with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips. RFID technology is currently being used by private companies to track the movement of goods. RFID is likewise a very convenient means of tracking people. 

It is estimated that Americans are filmed by cameras about seven times per day. Imagine that, in addition to being watched, you were being tracked every time you passed through an airport checkpoint, under a traffic light or even a store's scanner. This is not science fiction but rather the harsh reality of what provisions of the Real ID Act will lead to. In order to catch the bad guys, everyone must be scanned and tracked, regardless of criminal history or even suspicion. In the United States of the future, everyone will be a suspect. Cards have a fatal flaw though; they can be lost or discarded. The next logical step of this act, if it is to be truly effective at controlling immigration and preventing a major terrorist attack, will involve implantation of such devices, perhaps in our hands or foreheads. That way they cannot be discarded, traded or otherwise used for purposes they were not intended for. What Real ID means for Americans is not so much added security but an invasion of privacy on a biblical scale

This week Congress will vote on a bill to expand the power of the United Nations beyond the dreams of even the most ardent left-wing, one-world globalists. But this time the UN power grabbers aren’t European liberals; they are American neo-conservatives,(Talmudic Hassidic jews and their proselytes of the hoodlum haha of Sanhedrin and the Universal Noahide Law)  who plan to use the UN to implement their own brand of world government.

The “United Nations Reform Act of 2005” masquerades as a bill that will cut US dues to the United Nations by 50% if that organization does not complete a list of 39 reforms. On the surface any measure that threatens to cut funding to the United Nations seems very attractive, but do not be fooled: in this case reform “success” will be worse than failure. The problem is in the supposed reforms themselves-- specifically in the policy changes this bill mandates.

The proposed legislation opens the door for the United Nations to routinely become involved in matters that have never been part of its charter. Specifically, the legislation redefines terrorism very broadly for the UN’s official purposes-- and charges it to take action on behalf of both governments and international organizations.

What does this mean? The official adoption of this definition by the United Nations would have the effect of making resistance to any government or any international organization an international crime. It would make any attempt to overthrow a government an international causus belli for UN military action. Until this point a sovereign government retained the legal right to defend against or defeat any rebellion within its own territory. Now any such activity would constitute justification for United Nations action inside that country. This could be whenever any splinter group decides to resist any regime-- regardless of the nature of that regime.

What if this were in place when the Contras were fighting against the Marxist regime in Nicaragua? Or when the Afghan mujahadeen was fighting against the Soviet-installed government in the 1980s? Or during the Warsaw Ghetto uprising? The new message is clear: resistance-- even resistance to the UN itself-- is futile.  Why does every incumbent government, no matter how bad, deserve UN military assistance to quell domestic unrest?

This new policy is given teeth by creating a “Peacebuilding Commission,” which will serve as the implementing force for the internationalization of what were formerly internal affairs of sovereign nations. This Commission will bring together UN Security Council members, major donors, major troop contributing countries, appropriate United Nations organizations, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund among others. This new commission will create the beginning of a global UN army.  It will claim the right to intervene in any conflict anywhere on the globe, bringing the World Bank and the IMF formally into the picture as well. It is a complete new world order, but undertaken with the enthusiastic support of many of those who consider themselves among the most strident UN critics.

Conservatives who have been critical of the UN in the past have enthusiastically embraced this bill and the concept of UN reform. But what is the desired end of “UN reform”?  The UN is an organization that was designed to undermine sovereignty and representative government. It is unelected and unaccountable to citizens by its very design. Will UN reform change anything about the fact that its core mission is objectionable? Do honest UN critics really want an expanded UN that functions more “efficiently”?

The real question is whether we should redouble our efforts to save a failed system, or admit its failures-- as this legislation does-- and recognize that the only reasonable option is to cease participation without further costs to the United States in blood, money, and sovereignty. Do not be fooled: it is impossible to be against the United Nations and to support  “reform” of the United Nations. The only true reform of the United Nations is for the US to withdraw immediately.

Rivlin Sees Gov´t Collapse Ahead

Knesset Speaker Rivlin, a long-time friend and oft-time political ally of Ariel Sharon, predicts that the government's days are numbered. MK Benny Elon says Rivlin knows what he's talking about.

Because the Sanhedrin has told him

"Sharon has support on only one subject," Rivlin told NRG-Maariv last night, "and that is the disengagement. In any normal Knesset, we wouldn't be asking whether the Knesset would be dissolved - but rather when it will happen."

"The only alternative is to hold early elections," Rivlin said. "The government is unable to pass anything. Anyone who doesn't get what he wants, even if he is a member of the coalition, goes and votes against the government."

Sharon himself agrees that the situation is problematic. After yesterday's Knesset session, the Prime Minister met with opposition leader Tommy Lapid to discuss yesterday's results. Sharon and his government lost in four consecutive votes yesterday - three no-confidence motions and one on Sharon's speech on government corruption.

Lapid, who is widely assumed to be overly anxious to return to the coalition, told Sharon that yesterday's votes are a "sign that the regime is losing its grip, precisely when a strong regime is needed."

Rivlin's remarks were encouraging to opponents of the expulsion plan, but it is still not clear how exactly the government could fall. Only 17 Knesset days remain before the summer recess, and no-confidence motions are not brought during Knesset breaks.

MK Benny Elon (National Union) told Arutz-7, "Rivlin's parliamentary experience, plus his wisdom and his personal knowledge of the people involved, especially Sharon, give great weight to his remarks. Sharon knows with certainty that immediately after the uprooting from Gaza and northern Shomron, MKs on both the left and right are planning to topple him. It could be that we can't stop the bull from running into the wall - but the bull himself might understand that if he continues his plan, he will [be toppled and then] remain only with a record of uprooting and destruction that will erase the accomplishment of his past. Under such circumstances, early elections before the uprooting are a very reasonable scenario - for his sake as well."

Opposition leader Lapid and his Shinui Party were dead-set against a unilateral withdrawal from Gaza during the last election campaign, but since then have changed their tune. Lapid has now gone even further, saying that Sharon must not rest on his disengagement "laurels," but must rather delineate his next move - i.e., his next withdrawal.

 "And don't tell us that the Palestinians will have to do this or that," Lapid yelled out yesterday in the Knesset. "The question is what this government plans to do."

Lapid also asked this question of Sharon during their meeting last night, and reported afterwards that Sharon said that the next move must be for the PA to disarm all terrorists.

Labor Party leader Shimon Peres said that Rivlin's remarks on early elections are rooted only in his desire to prevent the withdrawal from Gaza.

Leading Hassidic rabbis and yeshiva deans will take part. Calls to take part in the prayers have been circulated throughout Jerusalem...

The latest Knesset Member to move to Gush Katif: Yuli Edelstein of the Likud. He announced yesterday his plans to move to Gadid, a small community adjacent to and in between N'vei Dekalim and Gan-Or. MK Uri Ariel (National Union) moved recently to Kfar Darom and Effie Eitam (Religious Zionism Renewal) did the same to Netzer Hazani. Tzvi Hendel of the National Union has lived for decades in Ganei Tal.

In addition, MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) moved several weeks ago to the Shomron community of Chomesh, which is also slated for expulsion by the Sharon government.

Other prominent figures who have moved of late with their families to Gush Katif, or who have announced their intention to do so, include Rabbi Shlomo Riskin of Efrat, Noam Livnat, Rabbi David Druckman of Kiryat Motzkin, and Nadia Matar of Women in Green. Close to ten families from Beit El alone have moved to Gush Katif in the past several months...

The National Home organization - that which sponsored the massive country-wide road-blockings of last month - will hold a seminar on Civil Disobedience this coming Sunday at Jerusalem's Ramada Renaissance Hotel at 6 PM. "We will stop this government!" blares the literature. "There's a limit to what this nation can tolerate from its government." The planned civil disobedience campaign will be discussed at the seminar.

In addition, each of the hundreds of people who have been arrested thus far in acts of civil disobedience against the expulsion will be presented by the Manhigut Yehudit (Jewish Leadership) organization with an "award kit" in admiration for their dedication.

The kit will include:
* A certificate of honor detailing the circumstances of the recipient's arrest;
* a signed copy of the latest book by Manhigut leader Moti Karpel;
* a signed copy of a book by Rabbi Eliezer Melamed on Jewish Law;
* a T-shirt with the logo, "Maasiyahu Prison Graduate;"
* and a special 100% silver "Gur Aryeh" pin designed by Sa-Nur artisan Salman Mark especially for the occasion...

Police report that 9,000 citizens have volunteered for disengagement duty this summer, but that only 800 have been found suitable. "It's hard to believe that 800 new workers will all of a sudden start working in one day in the police department," said one anti-uprooting skeptic, an activist in the anti-withdrawal cause.

On the other hand, hundreds of reserve soldiers have informed the Lev Yehudi office - an organization counseling those who do not want to show up for army service during the disengagement period - of their intention to be counted in their numbers. A Lev Yehudi spokesman contacted by Arutz-7 estimates that the true number of those who will not show up is actually in the thousands.

Lev Yehudi will hold a gathering for all those who plan not to show up for reserve duty this coming Tuesday. It will be held at 6:30 PM this Tuesday, at the Binyanei HaUmah Convention Center in Jerusalem. Participating will be public figures and army officers, many of whom will announce publicly for the first time that they will not respond to their call-up orders, in order not to help the disengagement even indirectly.

The organization recommends that even those who receive what it calls an "innocent-looking call-up order" to serve in the Jordan Valley or the like must realize that their service will free up other soldiers to take part in the actual uprooting. "The short-term value of protecting the Jordan Valley is relatively small compared to the long-term damage to be caused by indirectly helping the uprooting," the spokesman said.

Lev Yehudi recommends that one who receives call-up orders for this summer reply to his enlistment office by fax saying, "How can I take part, even indirectly, in this crime?" - and then ignore further inquiries from the army on the matter. "The army very rarely takes legal action against reserve soldiers who don't show up," the organization states, but adds that for those few who might face legal trouble, its legal team is willing to help

News Analysis: Bush Policies Eroding U.S. - Israel Ties

Since the election of George W. Bush, U.S.- Israeli relations have been on a downward spiral. Despite the war on terror and the occasional pro-Israel appearance at Aipac, the facts on the ground indicate that this administration’s policies are no less anti-Israel as the Bush-Baker team of the late 1980’s, which worked to bring down the pro-settlement Likud government of Yitzhak Shamir.

This administration, however, appears to be doing far more damage than merely attempting to influence the course of domestic Israeli politics. Bush’s policies are working to destroy the very fabric of U.S. Israel relations, turning a long-term strategic alliance into an adversarial relationship, where a weakened Israel appears, at least superficially, to serve America’s self-interest.

They must unseat Sharon of Aholibah the sister whore , to bring Aholah and her Sanhedrin and their Moshiach ben satan to power, soon.

The latest crisis over Israel arm sales to China is a case in point. The U.S. freely sells billions of dollars worth of its most advanced weapons to countries technically at war with Israel, such as Saudi Arabia, or to countries such as Egypt, that maintain a cold peace with Israel after fighting three unsuccessful wars against the Jewish (zionist, not yet a Jewish state) state.

Yet the United States Defense Department has recently imposed sanctions on Israel’s defense industry for selling Israeli-made weapons to China, one of America’s biggest trading partners and a country that has never fought a war against the United States. Israeli high-tech companies like Elbit may now have a tough time bidding for U.S. defense contracts, such as providing parts and systems for the new F-22 Raptor aircraft, in retaliation for Israel’s sale of unmanned drones to the Chinese.

Israeli contractors have already been excluded from developing the F-35, a futuristic warplane being developed through numerous foreign contractors.

The United States is now demanding that Israel supervise and coordinate all weapons sales with the U.S., a demand that the U.S. would never contemplate making of its erstwhile European allies, France and Germany, countries that are attempting to offset their imports of cheap Chinese goods with arms sales to that country.

The U.S. is also demanding that Israel provide it with details surrounding more than 60 arms deals Israel has made with China over the past few years so that Washington can assess purported damage to U.S. security.

Another U.S. demand is for Israel to make key personnel changes at Israel’s Defense Ministry, in order to provide the U.S. Defense Department with more amenable counterparts.

These one-sided dictates against an allied power prompted the chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Yuval Steinitz (Likud), to call them “illegitimate and humiliating.”

Steinitz said, “The two countries must establish a mechanism to ensure that arms are not sold to potentially rival states of either countries, but a request to dismiss senior executives in the security establishment is illegitimate and we cannot agree to such demands. It is even humiliating.”

"The relations with the U.S. are important and critical for Israel, but it must maintain its independence and reciprocity in the relations," he added.

Illegitimate and humiliating may go a long way to defining other sore points in the Bush administration’s relationship to Israel.

Another example would be the Bush Road-Map that equates Israeli settlement activity in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza, the heartland of the Jewish people, with Arab terrorism. According to the plan, the Palestinian Authority must take measures to curb Arab terrorists while Israel, as a quid pro quo, must stop building Jewish communities and remove settlement outposts in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza.

Road Map to Hell

George W. Bush is also the first U.S. president to call for the creation of an independent Palestinian state in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. Bush wants that state to be territorially contiguous, meaning that he wants Israel to remove dozens of Jewish towns and villages to make way for a new Arab regime that will serve as a springboard for terrorism against Israel and, in all likelihood, against the United States as well.

Israeli envoy to be next vice president of UN General Assembly

Israeli ambassador to the United Nations Dan Gillerman was Monday unanimously elected the new vice president of the UN General Assembly.

This is the second time that an Israeli envoy has been elected to a position of this rank. The post was previously held by legendary Israeli diplomat Abba Eban, who assumed the role in the early 1950s.

Gillerman was the candidate of the Western nations, a bloc containing some 30 states, including members of the European Union, Canada, Australia and the United States.

"This is an important and historical moment for the State of Israel, both in essence and in timing," said Gillerman of his election Monday.

The vice president is responsible for running General Assembly discussions in the president's absence, and is a member of the committee that decides on the assembly's daily agenda.

The election of an Israeli envoy resulted from many months of diplomatic efforts by the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, in particular Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, who last week met with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to discuss the issue

Greeting the guests at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City were some of New York City’s most distinguished officials, present and former. Among them, Mayor Rudolph Guiliani, Senator Hilary Clinton, State Senator Major Owens, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, Dan Gillerman, Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, and a surprise showing by Governor George Pataki.

All of them spoke with heartfelt enthusiasm for the work of Tzivos Hashem, the largest children’s organization in the world, now in the finishing stages of construction on the much acclaimed Jewish Children’s Museum. The $30 million structure rising majestically above Eastern Parkway at Kingston Avenue was designed by architects Charles Gwathmey and Robert Siegel, who were named guests of honor at last night's dinner.

Although Moses ordained the first Sanhedrin with the actual laying of hands, this was a special case, and was only done that one time. All subsequent ordinations were performed orally, granting the subject the title of "Rabbi" and declaring that he is "ordained with the right to judge cases involving fines."

To qualify for ordination, a man must have all the qualifications necessary for membership in the Sanhedrin. However, if he later becomes disqualified from membership in the Sanhedrin because of age or physical disability, his ordination is still valid.

Introduction to the Temple

A. The purpose of this class is to present information about the holy Temple in order to make it more real and understandable, to demystify the Temple, to help us realize it was a historical fact and an integral part of Jewish life and religion.

The aim is to encourage knowledge and appreciation for the role of the Temple, to appreciate its greatness, to feel its loss, and to promote its return through raising the awareness and consciousness of the past and the future and to bridge these in the present.

B. The Temple and the Temple services are an integral part of our daily lives as Jews even today:

1. In prayer: in the shmone esre we pray for the return of the Temple and its service. In the Yom Kippur service we vicariously relive the Kohen Gadol's service to attain atonement for Am Yisrael. Every Shabbat and Holiday we recall the offerings brought for the community at the Temple.

2. Holidays: Chanukah is based on the rededication of the Temple and the miracle of the Menorah. Succot we celebrate at the Simchat Beit HaShoeva and the Arava as a remembrance of the Temple Service. On Pesach we eat the Matza and Maror through lacking the Korbon Pesach lamb which was eaten with it. On the Ninth of Av we mourn and fast in commemoration of the loss of the Temple and in longing for its rebuilding.

3. Other: At weddings we break a glass to recall that our joy is not complete while the Temple is still unbuilt. The Kotel, the Western Wall is the focus of our attention, the place where we aim all our payers, the remaining remnant of the Temple.

C. The study of the Temple and the Temple service

A major portion of the written Torah deals exclusively with the Temple service. The book of Vayikra and the second half of the book of Shemot deal almost exclusively with the vessels, participants and procedure of the service. A complete order of the Mishna and Talmud Seder Kodshim is concerned with the details of the Service. Our Sages tell us that the study of the Temple service is equivalent to its actual performance. In the learning about the Temple, we demonstrate a longing for its restoration and the final redemption of our people.

The Importance of the Temple

1. The importance of the Temple to the Jewish People and the world cannot be overestimated. The Temple Service served as the focus of Jewish life from the time of the giving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai until the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem, a period of approximately 1,500 years.

2. The Temple was the national judicial, social and religious center of the Jewish People. The Temple complex on Mt. Moriah in Jerusalem served as the seat of the great Sanhedrin which was the supreme court and source of Torah decisions (It was under the supervision of the Nasi and Av Beit Din, the elders of the court). The Temple Service itself was under the authority of the Kohen Gadol, the high priest. He headed an elaborate hierarchy of officials charged with the proper carrying out of the Temple service.

3. If the nations of the world had only known how much they needed the Temple, they would have surrounded it with armed fortresses to protect it (Midrash B'midbar).

4. The Holy Temple was part of the blueprint of creation. As it was described in the vision of Ya'akov Avinu, the Patriarch Jacob, who saw a ladder joining the earth to the heavens, the Temple serves as a gateway to the heavenly realm.

5. The Temple mystically confirmed to the image of a man.

The Holy of Holiness - containing the Holy Ark, the source of Torah wisdom - corresponds to the human mind. 

Rv:11:19: And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: 

 

The Menorah, a source of light, symbolizing enlightenment, corresponds to the right eye. The Shulchan, the table which held the showbread representing material sustenance, corresponds to the left eye.

Rv:18:23: And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

The Golden Altar, upon which incense was offered, representing pleasantness in relationships, corresponds to the nose. The entrance way to the Heichel, where the Kohanim stood to give the blessing, represents the mouth. And it might be added that the outer Mizbayach, the Altar upon which offerings were burnt, corresponds to the stomach of a man.

Rv:9:13: And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

6. The Temple and service accomplished four general purposes: one, to purify man from sin and achieve atonement; two, to bring him closer to his Creator; three, to elevate him to a level of inspiration and even prophesy; four, to be a source of Divine Blessing for all those involved in the Service and for the world at large.

7. The Temple - Mikdash was a spiritual entity in the physical world. Through the Temple service, an individual could attain forgiveness and atonement through the process of bringing an offering. Now, when we do not have the Temple service, we can attain atonement through t'shuva combined with prayer and Torah study. The bringing of sacrifices, was a direct and more certain means of achieving atonement and immediate relationship to the Creator.

Isa:1:11: To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

8. The Temple was the House of God, where God's presence was readily available to all those who sought Him. There was daily manifestation of the Divine Presence through miracles - the suspension of the "laws of nature" for all to see. Throughout the First Temple era, a lamp of the menorah stayed lit continually and the altar fire had the actual form of a crouching lion. Even in the Second Temple, when the supernatural level was less, even then ten miracles were seen constantly. The Temple was the terrestrial place of the Almighty, with His presence more concentrated there than anywhere in the world. It was in essence the embassy of Heaven on Earth.

Rv:5:12: Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

9. Without the Temple, life is fundamentally different. With its destruction, even physical nature changed. The Sages of the Talmud, some of whom lived during both the time of the Temple and after its destruction, relate that the fruits now lack their full taste, the sky is not its true colour, and the full beauty of music and song have been lost. Most tragically, the spiritual levels of the Jewish People - and mankind as a whole - have been greatly diminished.

Mk:7:9: And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Mk:7:13: Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

10. Even today the Temple and its service form an essential focus of our daily Jewish religious life. Our prayers, holidays and Torah learning are deeply imbued with the remembrance of the Temple and our longing for its restoration. For example, in the Amidah prayer, we pray for the return of the Temple and its service. The holidays of Pesach, Succot, Chanukah and the Ninth of Av are all closely related to the Temple. Of the five books of the Torah, Vayikra and half of the book of Shemot (Leviticus and Exodus) deal primarily with the Temple service.

11. Our prophets have related God's promise that the Temple will once again be restored, thus returning the service to its proper central position in Jewish life. Study and concern with the Temple service is therefore not only a meaningful study of the past, it is a necessary preparation for the future.

1. This Mitzvah included the construction of the Mishkan, the portable tabernacle in the desert, the three places it dwelt temporarily in the Land of Israel, and its final dwelling place on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
