"We have used the same scientific methodology to isolate specific words, phrases, themes and messages that will resonate with at least 70% of the American audience. . . . All the language we have written in past memos will not work when it comes to U.S. tax dollars."

ADC has obtained, and is publishing in full, a vital new Israeli propaganda strategy document for the period following the war in Iraq.

The document, entitled ãWexner Analysis: Israeli Communications Priorities 2003,ä was prepared for the Wexner Foundation, which operates leadership training programs such as the ãBirthright Israelä project which offers free trips for young Jewish Americans to Israel, by the public relations firm the Luntz Research Companies and the Israel Project. However, please note that the reportâs suggested language is written in a distinctly Israeli, as opposed to a Jewish American, voice.

ISRAELI COMMUNICATION PRIORITIES 2003

OVERVIEW

The world has changed. The words, themes and messages on behalf of Israel must include and embrace the new reality of a post-Saddam world.

In the past, we have urged a lower profile for Israel out of a fear that the American people would blame Israel for what was happening in the rest of the Middle East. Now is the time to link American success in dealing with terrorism and dictators from a position of strength to Israel's ongoing efforts to eradicate terrorism on and within its borders. In the current political environment, you have little to lose and a lot to gain by aligning with America. With all the anti-Americanism across the globe and all the protests and demonstrations, we are looking for allies that share our commitment to security and an end to terrorism and are prepared to say so. Israel is a just such an ally.

THE NEXT STEP

The fact that Israel has remained relatively silent for the three months preceding the war and for the three weeks of the war was absolutely the correct strategy - and according to all the polling done, it worked. But as the military conflict comes to a close, it is now time for Israel to lay out its own "road map" for the future which includes unqualified support for America and unqualified commitment to an ongoing war against terrorism.

Perceptions of Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict are being almost entirely colored and often overshadowed by the continuing action in Iraq. Partisan differences still exist (the political Left remains your problem) and complaints about Israeli heavy-handedness still exist. Advocates of Israel have about two weeks to get their message in order before world attention turns to the so-called "road map" and how best to "solve" the Israel-Palestinian conflict. Developing that message is the purpose of this memo.

Author's note: This is not a policy document. This document is strictly a communications manual. As with every memo we provide, we have used the same scientific methodology to isolate specific words, phrases, themes and messages that will resonate with at least 70% of the American audience. There will certainly be some people, particularly those on the political left, who will oppose whatever words you use, but the language that follows will help you secure support from a large majority of Americans. These recommendations are based on two "dial test" sessions in Chicago and Los Angeles conducted during the first ten days of the Iraqi war for the Wexner Foundation.

ESSENTIAL CONCLUSIONS

This document is rather long because it is impossible to communicate all that is needed in simple one-sentence sound-bites. Yes, we have provided those on the pages that follow, but we have taken the space to explain why the language is so important and the context in which it needs to be used. If you only read two pages, these are the key conclusions:

1) Iraq colors all. Saddam is your best defense, even if he is dead. The worldview Americans is entirely dominated by developments in Iraq. This is a unique opportunity for Israelis to deliver a message of support and unity at a time of great international anxiety and opposition from some of our European "allies." For a year - a SOLID YEAR - you should be invoking the name of Saddam Hussein and how Israel was always behind American efforts to rid the world of this ruthless dictator and liberate their people. Saddam will remain a powerful symbol of terror to Americans for a long time to come. A pro-Israeli expression of solidarity with the American people in their successful effort to remove Saddam will be appreciated.

2) Stick to your message but don't say it the same way twice. We have seen this in the past but never so starkly as today. Americans are paying very close attention to international developments and are particularly sensitive to any kind of apparent dogma or canned presentations. If they hear you repeating the exact same words over and over again, they will come to distrust your message. If your speakers can't find different ways to express similar principles, keep them off the air.

3) It DOES NOT HELP when you compliment President Bush. When you want to identify with and align yourself with America, just say it. Don't use George Bush as a synonym for the United States. Even with the destruction of the Hussein regime and all the positive reactions from the Iraqi people, there still remains about 20% of America that opposes the Iraqi war, and they are overwhelmingly Democrat. That leaves about half the Democrats who support the war even if they don't support George Bush. You antagonize the latter half unnecessarily every time you compliment the President. Don't do it.

4) Conveying sensitivity and a sense of values is a must. Most of the best-performing sound bites mention children, families, and democratic values. Don't just say that Israel is morally aligned with the U.S. Show it in your language. The children component is particularly important. It is essential that you talk about "the day, not long from now, when Palestinian children and Israeli children will play side-by-side as their parents watch approvingly."

5) "SECURITY" sells. Security has become the key fundamental principle for all Americans. Security is the context by which you should explain Israeli need for loan guarantees and military aid, as well as why Israel can't just give up land. The settlements are our Achilles heel, and the best response (which is still quite weak) is the need for security that this buffer creates.

6) The language in this document will work, but it will work best when it is accompanied with passion and compassion. Too many supporters of Israel speak out of anger or shout when faced with opposition. Listeners are more likely to accept your arguments if they like how you express them. They will bless these words but they will truly accept them if and only if they accept you.

7) Find yourself a good female spokesperson. In all our testing, women are found to be more credible than men. And if the woman has children, that's even better.

8) Link Iraqi liberation with the plight of the Palestinian people. It is likely that the most effective argument(s) you have right now are those that link the right of the Iraqi people to live in freedom with the right of the Palestinian people to be governed by those who truly represent them. If you express your concern for the plight of the Palestinian people and how it is unfair, unjust and immoral that they should be forced to accept leaders who steal and kill in their name, you will be building credibility for your support of the average Palestinian while undermining the credibility of their leadership.

9) A little humility goes a long way. You saw this with your own eyes. You need to talk continually about your understanding of "the plight of the Palestinians" and a commitment to helping them. Yes, this IS a double standard (no one expects anything pro-Israeli from the Palestinians) but that's just the way things are. Humility is a bitter pill to swallow, but it will inoculate you against critiques that you have not done enough for peace. Admit mistakes, but then show how Israel is the partner always working for peace.

10) Of course rhetorical questions work, don't they? Ask a question to which there is only one answer is hard to lose. It is essential that your communication be laced with rhetorical questions, which is how Jews talk anyway.

11) Mahmoud Abbas is still a question mark. Leave him that way. You stand much more to lose by attacking him now. But similarly, he is not worthy of praise. Talk about your hopes for the future, but lay out the principles you expect him to uphold: an end to violence, a recognition of Israel, reform of his own government, etc.

THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT WORDS: SADDAM HUSSEIN (STILL)

This document is about language, so let me be blunt. "Saddam Hussein" are the two words that tie Israel to America and are most likely to deliver support in Congress. They also just happen to be two of the most hated words in the English language right now.

Without being repetitive, Americans fundamentally believe that a democracy has a right to protect its people and its boarders. Unfortunately, as a democracy, we tend to dwell on our failures (Vietnam, Watergate, etc.) more than our successes. It is essential for the long-term support of a strong military and a commitment to national security that we remind people again and again...and again that there are times when it is necessary to take preventative action and that military intervention is better than appeasement.

A WARNING

There are some who would say that Saddam Hussein is already old news. They don't understand history. They don't understand communication. They don't understand how to integrate and leverage history and communication for the benefit of Israel. The day we allow Saddam to take his eventual place in the trash heap of history is the day we loose our strongest weapon in the linguistic defense of Israel.

References to the successful outcome of the war with Iraq benefit Israel. While Americans don't want to increase foreign aid in a time of significant budgetary deficits and painful spending cuts, there is one and only one argument that will work for continuing Israeli aid (in four easy steps):

THE ISRAELI AID MESSAGE TREE

(1) As a democracy, Israel has the right and the responsibility to defend its borders and protect its people.

(2) Prevention works. Even with the collapse of Saddam's regime, terrorist threats remain throughout our region.

(3) Israel is America's one and only true ally in the region. In these particularly unstable and dangerous times, Israel should not be forced to go it alone.

(4) With America's financial assistance, Israel can defend its borders, protect its people, and provide invaluable assistance to the American effort in the war against terrorism.

This is important. All the arguments about Israel being a democracy, letting Arabs vote and serve in government, protecting religious freedom, etc., won't deliver the public support you need to secure the loan guarantees and the military aid Israel needs. All the language we have written in past memos will not work when it comes to U.S. tax dollars. You need a national security angle - one that clearly links the interests of both Israel and America:

WORDS THAT WORK:

SELLING ISRAEL AID (I)

"It was Israel who risked their pilots and planes in taking out Saddam Hussein's nuclear reactors and thus thwarted his quest for nuclear weapons of mass destruction.

It was Israel who provided much of the intelligence that helped America defeat Iraq back in 1991.

It was Israel alone among Middle Eastern nations that supported America's successful effort to remove Saddam Hussein and liberate the people of Iraq.

We stood without you against the Saddam regime from beginning to end. Israel has been a key regional asset and military ally of the United States for more than 50 years. That relationship must continue, even and especially in the post-Saddam era. It is a partnership of democracies devoted to the war against terrorism and the fight for freedom."

As we have seen, the news cycle during and immediately following a war is is not a matter of idle curiosity, it is compulsory viewing. Even more than in Israel, where conflict has tragically been almost commonplace, war means a new and real threat to personal and familial security in America. And Saddam Hussein, dead or alive, still embodies that threat.

Americans have been thinking and talking about the war on terror for almost a year and a half now, and they have come to conclude that Saddam Hussein is a sponsor of world terror and is a particular threat to the democracies of the world. New and shocking revelations about the brutality of his regime are discovered daily, which only reinforces American support of military action. But the fact that Hussein was a direct threat to Israel is especially important. Israel opposed his cruel ambitions for decades - a decade longer than the U.S. Remind audiences that Israel and America have common values, but then stress that we also share common enemies.

But deterrence is only half the message. You really do need to emphasize your historic willingness to compromise and sacrifice on behalf of America. This may not play well among some Israeli politicians but it will certainly play extremely well in the States.

WORDS THAT WORK

"During the Gulf War, Iraq attacked Israel with Scud missiles 39 times. Israel stood by each time, not knowing if the next missile contained biological and chemical weapons. Israel chose restraint instead of war, because it was what the U.S. asked. It was Israel's way to support our ally, America, and its troops during the Persian Gulf War. We put supporting American priorities higher than our own. But now, with our national security at stake, we need America's financial help."

RESPONDING TO PALESTINIAN PRESSURE

While the Chicago and Los Angeles sessions yielded significant new language and several new communication "principles," most of our previous observations hold true. Too many in the Jewish community are too linguistically hostile at a time when the other 97% of America wants a resolution to the conflict. In particular, you cannot just issue recriminations, however justified, against the Palestinian Authority and expect American elites to be suddenly convinced of your righteousness. All the evidence and common sense can be on your side, but the hostility and negativity will be rejected as biased and one-sided.

Here's a specific example:

WORDS THAT DON'T WORK

"There is no moral equivalency. On one side you have duly elected and appointed Israeli officials from a democracy that has been operating for more than half a century. On the other side you have corrupt Palestinian officials who have lied, cheated and stolen from their people. Israel will not negotiate until they have someone to negotiate with."

While the statement above is perfectly accurate and justified, it will not work. Individually, the words are good, the facts are accurate and the message is correct. But this communication effort fails miserably because it is regarded as a complete rejection of negotiations and peace. Listeners see it as accusatory and contentious - exactly what they don't want to hear and will not accept. We have a better approach, one that says virtually the same thing but in a more effective way:

WORDS THAT DO WORK

"Whatever the root causes of the Palestinian-Israeli crisis, there are certain tragic cultural facts and differences that stand in the way of peace negotiations between the people of Israel and the Palestinians. No Israeli child has ever strapped a bomb to his back and gone off to kill civilian Palestinians, and yet the Palestinian leadership does too little to dispel the notion among its more extreme citizens that killing Israelis with a suicide bomb is the surest route to heaven. How can Israel deal with a population of parents that stand aside or even encourage their children to become martyrs?"

Yes, this is harsher and more explicit than the previous paragraph, but it works for several reasons:

(1) The human touch. Mentioning parents and children humanizes and personalizes the terror that Israel has to face every day.

(2) The rhetorical question. Even pro-Palestinians have a tough time answering that final question. It's time for Israeli spokespeople to ask a lot more unanswerable rhetorical questions as part of their communication effort.

(3) Acknowledging a cultural difference between Israelis and Palestinians is stating the obvious - and good for your case. Even those Americans that have sympathies for the Palestinian struggle have an easier time relating to the Israelis because of the similarities between America and Israel in culture, tradition and values.

With this in mind, we have identified four specific spokesperson themes and emotions that appeal to American opinion influencers when discussing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and whatever negotiations may or will take place:

OPTIMISTIC

"I am hopeful that with the end of this war, the peoples of the Middle East will celebrate life and freedom. I am hopeful that the scenes of Iraqis throwing off the yoke of tyranny and fear will serve as a model for all peoples of the region. Yes, I do have hope that by reaching out to the stars, we can bring something good back to earth."

RESPECTFUL

"What we are hoping for is that the Palestinian people recognize the leadership they have right now has unfortunately a very different agenda than the agenda of the real Palestinian people...We do not have the right to tell the Palestinians who to elect to represent them but we hope they will choose leaders that will listen and truly care about them. "

THE HUMAN ELEMENT

"It's very difficult for us. We know that going into these Palestinian cities creates hardships and dilemmas for the Palestinians. But it is even more difficult to look our own children in the face knowing that that there are people in these cities planning to commit terrorist acts and not go in there and try to stop them before they kill."

DEDICATED TO DEMOCRACY

"We all know the importance of bringing genuine democracy and human rights to all nations and to uproot the ideology of terrorism. That is what we have tried to do, and we will keep on trying."

We have tested about 75-minutes of new language in Chicago and Los Angeles. Much of it was ineffective ... or worse. However, we did uncover some messages that do move opinion elites from neutral to positive. Of all the language that deals with the Palestinians directly, here's what works the best:

PALESTINIAN SOUND-BITES THAT WORK

Advocates of Israel will do well if they adopt the language that follows:

"The Palestinians deserve better leadership and they deserve a better society-with functioning institutions, democracy, and the rule of law."

"We are hoping to find a Palestinian leadership that really does reflect the best interest for the Palestinian people."

"As a matter of principle, Israel will sit down, negotiate and compromise with those that wish all the peoples of the Middle East to live together in peaceful coexistence. Egypt made peace with Israel. Jordan made peace with Israel. And both agreements still live on today."

"We know what it is to live our lives with the daily threat of terrorism. We know what it's like to send our children off to school one day and bury them the next. For us, terrorism isn't something we read about in the newspaper. It's something we see with our own eyes far too often."

"We don't want to sign a meaningless agreement that isn't worth the paper it is printed on. We want something real. If there is to be a just, fair and lasting peace, we need a partner who rejects violence and who values life more than death."

"As a matter of principle, the world should not force Israel to concede to those who publicly deny our right to exist or call for our annihilation."

"Right now, today, there are still terrorist groups like Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Al Aqsa Martyrs that the Palestinian Authority has either been unable or unwilling to curb-and Israelis continue to die because of it."

"Just as the American government pledges to secure for you life, liberty, and the chance to pursue happiness, so must Israel's government guarantee that we will be secure and free."

DEMOCRACY: CONNECTING IRAQ AND THE PALESTINIANS

"My earnest hope is that with regime change in Iraq, democracy may finally take firm root in the Middle East. If the Palestinian people and the people of other Middle Eastern nations are able to see the brilliant example of a successful Arabic democracy, I am confident the tide will turn.

Obviously it is wrong to assume that overwhelming American support for regime change in Iraq is fully transferable to changing the Palestinian leadership. Americans view them as separate issues - at least right now. That being said, your support for the American efforts to liberate the people of Iraq can and should be tied to our mutual interest in guaranteeing freedom for the Palestinian people.

Americans want democracy to flourish in the Middle East. There is genuine hope that the Iraqi people will establish a representative government with genuine freedoms. In that vein, remind people that the Iraqi people need not look any further than their Israeli neighbors for an example of such a government.

Democracy loves company. So far, one of Israel's most effective messages has been that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. It's time to take that message one step further. Emphatically state that while you are proud of Israel's democracy, you would much rather be the FIRST democracy in the Middle East than the ONLY democracy in the Middle East. Consider the following communication ladder that draws the attention first to Iraq and only then to the Palestinians.

(1) Democracy matters. Never in the history of the world has a democratic government engaged in war with another democracy.

(2) Democracy in Iraq matters. Iraq's transition to democracy is an essential first step towards a stable Middle East.

(3) Democracy can bring peace. True regional peace will come only when governments truly represent the interests of their people and guarantee their freedom and security.

(4) It's time for true democracy for the Palestinian people. They deserve no less.

This may seem simplistic but the message works when delivered this way and in this order. Americans sincerely hope that Iraq - a former adversary - can become a partner in peace once a representative government is installed. Insofar as they yearn for freedom and deserve representative leadership, the Palestinian people are no different. This is exactly what Israel has asked of the Palestinian Authority for so long: to establish a legitimate government that will become a partner in peace.

TALKING ABOUT HOPE & THE FUTURE: FOUR KEY SENTENCES

(1) We hope that we can once again achieve peace with an Arab neighbor.

(2) We hope that terror will no longer be the only thing that separates Palestinians from having their own state and Israelis from living in peace.

(3) We hope that the Palestinian people will no longer languish under a leadership that refuses to be a partner for peace.

(4) We hope that we can negotiate a fair agreement with a democratic government that is committed to the rule of law.

As zealous as Americans are about their own democracy, they quite often have to be reminded why they defend it so fiercely. This reminder becomes your obligation when associating Israel's democratic values with those of America.

Using the word "democracy" without giving examples of what makes this system of government so essential is like saying you want "peace" without giving evidence that you've made honest strides toward achieving it. Americans want proof that you know what these nice-sounding words mean.

When linking our common bond of democracy, use specific examples of why we hope that more nations establish the freedoms democracy guarantees.

* Women are treated as equals

* The press operates freely

* All religions are respected

* The people chose who represents them in free elections

* Democracies do not make war on each other

Finally, make the argument that if these freedoms are so dear to Israelis and Americans, they are just as dearly missed by the Palestinian people. All people yearn to live free, and their current leadership denies them that right.

THE ROADMAP: A BALANCED APPROACH

[Author's note: We include this section because the President's speech did so well in both Chicago and Los Angeles and because this topic will be at the core of Jewish and Israeli communication efforts in the coming months. We warn readers that a great deal of additional research is needed to offer a guarantee that the words and messages included here are the best available.]

As the post-war dust settles over the Iraqi desert, the focus has already begun to shift to the Israel-Palestinian peace process and President Bush's so-called "roadmap" to peace. The good news is that the American people firmly believe that if the Palestinians want to demonstrate sincere commitment to peace, they must abide by the tenants of the President's soon-to-be-released roadmap. The not-as-good news is that they expect exactly same from Israel and they demand it immediately.

In both Chicago and Los Angeles, and among virtually all respondents regardless of political party, Americans responded quite favorably to the language from President Bush for two reasons: "a balanced approach" and "shared responsibilities." Keep those terms in mind and use them whenever possible.

WORDS THAT WORK: A BALANCED APPROACH

"I see a day when two states, Israel and Palestine, will live side by side in peace and security. I call upon all parties in the Middle East to abandon old hatreds and to meet their responsibilities for peace

The Palestinian state must be a reformed and peaceful and democratic state that abandons forever the use of terror. The government of Israel, as the terror threat is removed and security improves, must take concrete steps to support the emergence of a viable and credible Palestinian state, and to work as quickly as possible toward a final status agreement...

We believe that all people in the Middle East -- Arab and Israeli alike -- deserve to live in dignity, under free and honest governments. We believe that people who live in freedom are more likely to reject bitterness, blind hatred and terror; and are far more likely to turn their energy toward reconciliation, reform and development."

COMPLICATING THE ROADMAP: MAHMOUD ABBAS (ABU MAZEN)

To some extent, your job as proponents of Israel has been easy. Under the Arafat regime, it's not difficult to convince the American public of the corruption of the current Palestinian leadership. While many sympathize with the plight of the Palestinian people, there is no love lost for Yassir Arafat. Arafat is a terrorist; they know that. Better still, he looks the part.

The emergence of Mahmoud Abbas as the new Palestinian Prime Minister comes exactly at the wrong time. His ascent to power seems legitimate. He is a fresh face, and a clean-shaven one at that. He speaks well and dresses in Western garb. He may even genuinely want peace.

Just as President Bush had begun to make headway in drawing attention on the need for a reformed Palestinian leadership, the Palestinians throw us this curveball. What will the world make of Abbas? Is he the new leadership for which Israel has pleaded for years? Or is he an Arafat in sheep's clothing?

Given the haze surrounding this new figure, it is imperative that you NOT immediately launch criticisms on Abbas. This is critical for three reasons:

(1) Overt negativity. If it turns out that Abbas legitimately wants peace and that he represents the true interests of the Palestinian people, then the attacks you launch today will turn the tide of public opinion against ISRAEL tomorrow. You will undermine all of your credibility as the willing partner for peace if you shoot down the first true peace partner the Palestinians have offered. (We don't expect this scenario but it is possible.)

(2) The unknown factor. Abbas is a relative unknown in the international community. Look at his emergence as if it were part of a political campaign. He is not a candidate to sit at the negotiating table until he proves his worthiness. While uncertainty makes your communication strategies complicated, it should not necessarily change your priorities. The more you talk about him, the more he is going to be talked about, which leads to the next point...

(3) Patiently Await a Peace Partner. Abbas may be a leader who wants peace, but it is incumbent upon him to prove that he is the willing and serious partner Israel needs to pursue peace together. Whether or not he has been elected or appointed to this position, he still needs to demonstrate tangibly that he wants peace. Your goal remains a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Once the Palestinians have shown their house is in order, you will be ready and willing to find an agreement. And if they don't, they, not Israel, will be blamed.

NOTE: This is not to say that Abbas should be given a free ride in the press. It is only to say that criticisms must be confined to what he does to thwart the peace process as a leader of the Palestinian people. Allow him the chance to succeed. A brief exercise in game theory may better illustrate this point. What happens if...

You immediately attack Abbas, and he turns out to be a genuine and effective partner in peace?

Israel loses credibility as the party that wants peace above all else. He gains popularity among an international community that already doubts your rhetoric and "heavy-handed" actions, and wins over those Americans who sympathize with the Palestinian people but support you because they distrusted previously corrupt Palestinian leadership. This is the worst result possible.

You immediately attack Abbas, and he turns out to be an Arafat in sheep's clothing?

What has Israel truly gained? You may have stripped his faux wool months before he would have done it himself, but you risked backlash. In the end, it would have been better off to publicly remain committed to peace while letting the Palestinian leadership implode on the public relations front - a strategy that has worked effectively thus far.

You wait on Abbas to define himself, and he turns out to be a genuine and effective partner in peace?

The roadmap is instituted and there is a peaceful resolution to decades of conflict by this time next year. This is the best result possible.

You wait on Abbas to define himself, and he turns out to be an Arafat in sheep's clothing?

Let him keep the faux wool; you'll reap the benefits of this communications gold mine. All your old messages of needing a genuine partner for peace will ring even truer, and the next time, the new leader cannot be justifiably appointed by Arafat.

So when people ask for opinions or reactions to Abbas, put it in terms of a "scouting report" with the following two facts:

(1) He was appointed to his current position by Arafat, which is suspect.

(2) He has denied the Holocaust, which is confounding at best and offensive at worst.

If he is an Arafat in Western clothing, it will not take long to identify him as such. The American people will know it by the actions he takes and the demands he makes. That is an incrimination that, if true, he will do to himself.

Is it a concern that he is a Holocaust denier? Absolutely. Will that fact convince Americans that he cannot represent the Palestinian people in an honest bid for peace? Hardly. Americans don't want to hear about the Holocaust anymore, and they particularly don't want to hear it from the Jewish community.

Nevertheless, you need more substance on Abbas before you can tell the American people you question his devotion to peace.

Americans believe that peace has to start somewhere other than Arafat. If Abbas is presented as that alternative, they quickly identify him as a symbol of "hope." His emergence as Prime Minister (a very Western, democratic-friendly title) is all Americans will need to believe that the peace process should be underway. They will expect you to follow suit and take a seat at the negotiating table. Finally, most believe that the United States can and should serve as an honest broker between these two parties. In their eyes, these are all the ingredients needed to begin the peace process.

It is essential that you use positive language when asked about Abbas. However, that does not mean you must compliment Abbas himself. While knocking him down now does little to help your long-term goals, building him up is also counterproductive. Therefore you must remain positive about the peace process and indifferent about Abbas until he defines his role. Above all else, reaffirm your position that first terrorism stops, and then negotiations begin.

Mix this message in with one of compassion for the Palestinian people. Many Americans sympathize with their plight. So should you. Americans want to hear it. A statement that the Palestinian people deserve better should follow every recrimination of a Palestinian leader or terrorist.

"We know the Palestinian people deserve better. We want for them what we have in Israel: freedom to say what they want, believe what they want, and live in equality. They also should have the right to choose who speaks on their behalf. The Palestinian people deserve and want leaders who will work for peace and not for terrorism. THE VALUE OF RHETORICAL QUESTIONS

An effective communication technique to continue to apply pressure to the Palestinian leadership without looking like you are ignoring Israel's responsibilities is to pose rhetorical questions. These questions will lead to only one answer, of course: peace cannot be achieved until real reforms are in place, and that the terror must stop first.

"How can the current Palestinian leadership honestly say it will pursue peace when the same leaders rejected an offer to create a Palestinian state two and a half years ago?"

"How can Yassir Arafat, whom Forbes Magazine says is worth more than three hundred million dollars, claim to be a leader who understands and represents an impoverished people when he has become rich at their expense?"

"Is it too much to ask that the Palestinian leadership not sponsor terrorists? Are we unreasonable to insist that they stop killing our innocent children before we jeopardize our security and make concessions for peace?"

"How can we make peace with a leader that does not believe in or allow free and honest elections?"

"Why do Palestinian schools have pictures of suicide bombers hanging up in the hallways of their schools or celebrate them as martyrs? Why do they name sports teams in the West Bank after suicide bombers? How can we make peace with the Palestinian people when their leaders instill a culture of terror against our people?"

"How can the Palestinian people end their impoverishment if their leaders continue to steal precious resources from them, which are then used to support terror?"

Why has Yassir Arafat been in power for so long, and yet made so little progress towards a peaceful resolution? If he were truly committed to peace, would he not have made a sincere effort to achieve it by now?

When will the Palestinian people themselves have a voice at the peace table?

The answer of every rhetorical question is the same: peace will come when the current Palestinian leadership is truly reformed and the terror tactics have ceased.

CONCLUSION: A LITTLE HUMILITY, PLEASE

Presenting a fair evaluation of your past allows you to present a hopeful - and believable - vision of your future.

You have your work cut out for you. As you emerge from one delicate public relations situation - war with Iraq - you enter an even dicier situation - cooperating on "the road map" with an unknown counterpart, Mahmoud Abbas. Fortunately the former may provide you some breathing room and cover for the latter.

The essential conclusion is to remain focused on your communication priorities from this point forward. Terror ends first. A willing peace partner emerges second. The roadmap is executed last. And throughout it all, you exhibit humility and reaffirm that the Palestinian people deserve better.

This memo has identified language that effectively articulates why - and how - the Palestinian leadership must change. Critiquing the other side is the always the easiest part of public communication, but it is only half of effective language.

Opinion elites in America will not find repeated criticisms of the Palestinian leadership credible unless they are coupled with a similar onus on the Israeli government to accommodate for peace and acknowledge past transgressions. (3) We remain committed to peace. We offered the Palestinian people a state of their own that included over 97% of the West Bank. Their leadership rejected this proposal, showing once again that we do not have a partner for peace so long as the current Palestinian Authority remains the voice of the Palestinian people. It's time for a change - not just for us but for our Palestinian cousins as well.

The United States has said Europe must do more to tackle a resurgence of anti-Semitism around the world.

The plea was made by former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani, representing the US at a conference in the Austrian capital, Vienna.

"Words do not suffice to turn the tide of anti-Semitism that is once again growing in Europe and other parts of the world," he said.

About 400 officials from the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) have gathered for the unprecedented two-day meeting following a rash of anti-Jewish incidents in Europe in recent years.

The European Union told the conference it was taking action against anti-Jewish hatred but denied there had been a distinctive rise in anti-Semitism.

Mr Giuliani told delegates to take concrete steps to stamp out violence against Jews, including keeping statistics on hate crimes, identifying problems early on and comparing performances between countries.

In a message read to the conference, US President George W Bush urged countries to "ensure that anti-Semitism is excluded from school text books, official statements, official television programming and official publications".

Last month, the Los Angeles-based Simon Wiesenthal Centre said attacks on Jews had reached the highest level since World War II.

Several delegates pointed to the problem of the internet being used to spread hate messages, while Dutch OSCE ambassador Daan Everts highlighted "[racist] music [and] racist slogans in football stadiums".

BRUSSELS (AFP) - US President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair have been accused of war crimes in Iraq under a fiercely contested Belgian law, the government here said.

But the justice ministry said the Belgian cabinet had referred the cases against Bush, Blair and six other high-ranking officials to the US and British governments, making any trials highly unlikely.

Nevertheless the lawsuits, brought under Belgium's "universal competence law", could well deepen tensions between Washington and Brussels, which bitterly opposed the war in Iraq.

The 10-year-old law gives Belgium's courts the right to judge anyone accused of war crimes, crimes against humanity or genocide, regardless of where the crime took place.

Apart from Bush and Blair, the officials named in the suits were US Secretary of State Colin Powell, Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Rumsfeld's deputy Paul Wolfowitz, Attorney General John Ashcroft, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice and General Tommy Franks, who led US forces in Iraq.

Bush, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Rice and Wolfowitz were additionally accused over the US-led campaign in Afghanistan that toppled the Taliban regime.

A Belgian justice ministry spokesman declined to say who had filed the lawsuits or the precise nature of the charges.

The ministry said it received the suits from Belgium's federal prosecution service on Wednesday.

But the Belgian cabinet quickly passed them on to US and British authorities, in line with a precedent set last month when US military officials including General Franks were accused under the law of war crimes in Iraq.

A recent revision to the universal competence law by the Belgian parliament allowed such a move where the accused is not Belgian and his or her country has adequate war crimes legislation in place.

The amendment was designed to prevent "frivolous" cases.

"The fact that a decision was taken by the cabinet within 24 hours shows that this filter works," foreign ministry spokesman Patrick Herman told AFP.

Last week Rumsfeld said, however, that Belgium would face consequences unless it ditched the law, which he branded "absurd".

He warned that US officials would shun the country, and announced that US funding for a new NATO headquarters in Brussels, which is also home to the European Union, would be suspended in the meantime.

Rumsfeld was backed by British Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon, who said the Belgian law was a matter of "great concern".

The Belgian government is seeking to deflect the storm of international criticism of the law, under which suits have also been brought against Israeli officials including Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

Outgoing Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt said Wednesday he wanted to circumvent the dispute by extending diplomatic immunity to all official visitors to international bodies on Belgian territory.

"We want everyone who wants to visit the headquarters of international organisations in Brussels to be able to do so without any problems," said Verhofstadt, who is trying to put together a new coalition government after winning elections last month.

So far the only convictions under the Belgian law have been those of four Rwandans found guilty in 2001 of taking part in the 1994 genocide in their homeland, which left upwards of one million people dead.

Israeli generals are planning for a possible massive invasion of Palestinian territories if the current Mideast cease-fire fails. A report published by the Jane’s Information Group in London says the goal would be to destroy Palestinian armed forces and the Palestinian Authority, forcing Chairman Yasser Arafat back into exile, where he spent 12 years after the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The invasion plan would be launched after another suicide bomb attack resulting in a large number of deaths, like the one at a Tel Aviv disco last month.

“That there is an Israeli contingency plan to re-occupy the Palestinian areas comes as no surprise at all,” says Francis Tusa, a defense analyst. “That it is being pushed up the list and that it’s a leading option — this is coming as a bit more of a surprise and a worrying one.”

The plan calls for air strikes by F-15 and F-16 fighter- bombers, a heavy artillery bombardment, and then an attack by a combined force of 30,000 men, including paratroopers, tank brigades and infantry. Israel’s Arab neighbors, Syria, Jordan and Egypt are expected to stay out of the fight. The report considers the possibility that Iraq might try to intervene with troops, which would then be destroyed by the Israeli airforce. It also states that Egypt could invade the Sinai peninsula, forcing Israel to call up its reserves. The report indicates that Israel expects up to 300 of its troops to die in such an attack, with Palestinian deaths in the thousands.

The Jane’s report indicates that the plan was presented to the Israeli cabinet on July 9. But Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon dismissed the rumors of war Thursday, saying he has no plans to escalate the conflict. “There is no imminent danger of war … I also don’t see either a deterioration or escalation but I definitely see a situation in which terrorism continues,” he told reporters.

“People in the military get paid to make plans all the time," cautioned Hirsch Goodman, an Israeli military analyst. “There are plans and there are plans.”

Foreign Minister Shimon Peres said no such plan was ever submitted or discussed. “I’m so happy to see that such an important journal has such a fertile imagination. It simply didn’t happen,” he told Israeli army radio.

Meanwhile, Hassidic rabbis are publicly proclaiming that their Messiah will arrive soon. G-d intends for us to live in harmony with each other and with the rest of His creation. In order to ensure that all our efforts are channeled in a positive, constructive direction, He established a set of laws by which we are to live our lives. Unfortunately, there are those that selfishly choose to rebel against G-d and work toward destructive ends. Without having a means to enforce the Laws, we would be unable to maintain social order and provide for the good of humanity. Therefore, the existence of courts of justice is necessary to enforce G-d's commandments.

It is a critical error to think that laws are oppressive and exist only to punish people. The Seven Laws are an intrinsic part of G-d's blueprint for creation; they serve as the foundation of moral behavior that, when followed, promote the well-being of all. This fact has been recognized by the U.S. government. In March of 1991, President George Bush signed into law a Congressional resolution (H.J. Resolution 104, Public Law 102-14) stating that "...ethical values and principles have been the bedrock of society from the dawn of civilization, when they were known as the Seven Noahide Laws; ...without these ethical values and principles the edifice of civilization stands in serious peril of returning to chaos..." It goes on to state that Americans must not "lose sight of their responsibility to transmit these historical ethical values from our distinguished past to the generations of the future...." The Seven Laws must therefore be the basis of our legal system, and we need courts to enforce these laws.

While we are currently unable to establish such courts to enforce the Seven Laws, we can meanwhile accomplish this mitzvah by teaching others of the Laws. Only when people have this knowledge can they act to fulfull their role in G-d's plan for creation.

The mitzvah for establishment of courts of justice corresponds to the sefirah of kingship, or sovereignty (malchus). On the human body, malchus is signified by the feet, which in their humility support the rest of the body. This mitzvah is symbolized by the "dark" color of the rainbow, which is referred to as brown, an earthy color of humility.

It is safe to say that there are at least two views on the subject. Mr. Vanderhoof suggests that capital punishment may be "a fulfillment of the non-Jews' obligation, under the seven commandments of the descendents of Noah, to establish just courts and to enforce the prohibition of murder, which applies to non-Jews and is punishable by death (according to the 7 commandments)." It should be noted that there is a dispute among Rishonim (medieval authorities) regarding the precise scope of the Noahide obligation to establish laws: does it entail only the enforcement of the other six commandments or does it encompass the establishment of a comprehensive justice system? In either case, it may be assumed that capital punishment would play a part in such a system. This is because all of the other six Noahide commandments are punishable by death.

My own view is an intermediate one. Rabbi Bleich is no doubt correct that one cannot make facile analogies from one justice system to another. One who concludes that the death penalty is justified in, e.g., U.S. courts (or state courts) because "the Torah says so," is plainly being simplistic. At the same time, as Mr. Vanderhoof notes, Noahide courts are themselves enjoined to enforce the death penalty. Rabbi Bleich notwithstanding, I am somewhat dubious that every Noahide court is required to adopt every relevant halakhic principle in carrying out its duties.

The American justice system is quite close to what an ideal Noahite court would look like: judges, witnesses, a trial based on evidence, logic, and testimony. There are some differences. There is not such a lengthy appeal process in a Noahite Court. Here a decision is made, and it is final. In America, there are people that spend years and years in jail, while they are appealing their case.
There are also certain requirements for a judge. He may not receive or give any sort of benefit from the litigants, this is considered bribery. It is forbidden to have mercy on a poor person, rationalizing that a rich plaintiff has an obligation to support the poor, therefore deciding so that the poor will be supported with a livelihood. Also, it is forbidden to pay prejudicial respect to a great person. If two litigants appear in court, the judge may not ask about the welfare of the great one nor express pleasure at his presence, nor give him honor in any way. The judge must not favor either party until judgment is finished. A judge must not think that since the litigant is so great a person, it is unseemly to embarrass him.

When a non-Jew comes to a rabbi or rabbinical court seeking to convert, it is a requirement that the candidate have pure motives. Conversions for the sake of marriage or material consideration are not acceptable, although sometimes after the fact they may be admitted. BAGHDAD (AFP) - A Sunni Muslim prayer leader charged Friday that US forces occupying Iraq were opening up the country to "the Jews" and chided Iraqis he said were working as "brokers" for the Jewish infiltrators.

Judaism has always been a conquering religion, not for the purpose of converting gentiles to become Jews, but rather with the mission of returning the world to the universal covenant between G-d and Noah. For halachic reasons too numerous and detailed to list here, gentiles today who follow Christianity, Islam, or other religions are not, for the most part, "righteous gentiles" who inherit the World to Come. And of course, if they are not "SAYERS" and understand what the "SAYERS" seek, their false Christ, their false Magikal Dark sentence Qabalah Babylonian, and they stand firm for Christ Jesus....in their very own words..not mine, no slander, just fact, to inform you of what your Judeo Churchizionian Noahide neighbors and their "Chosen Master Race" intend....

Of course what they refer to is them who undersatand that Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the Ending the expressed image of God in Heaven, he and his father are ONE, the Word of God, made flesh, which made everything created, God and His Father, the Word the Father and the Holy Spirit are ONE GOD. The Truth Believers in Jesus who will stand firm. The Trinity gods group have already become obedient goy noahides.

The "Sayers" who "Say" they are chosen reject the fact that they were "Chosen" for Salvation of the Written Torah, and stay in error of the Oral Tradition which makes the Written Torah of God of none effect.

Contrary to popular belief, the Torah does not maintain that Jews are necessarily better than other people simply because they are Jews. Although we are God's chosen people, we do not believe that God chose the Jews because of any inherent superiority. According to a story in the Talmud, God offered the Torah to all the nations of the earth, and the Jews were the only ones who accepted it. According to another story, the Jews were offered the Torah last, and accepted it only because God held a mountain over their heads! Another traditional story suggests that God chose the Jews because they were the lowliest of nations, and their success would be attributed to God's might rather than their own ability. Clearly, these are not the ideas of a people who think they are inherently better than other nations.

The Noahide Laws are much easier on obedient Goy. It is only the un-obedient Goy which they will DECAPITATE which could be a little hard for them. Yes indeedy doo, the Laws of the "SAYERS" are much harder on the Jew, but alas, how many Christians are seeking to murder the Jews under Christian Laws?

The Noahic commandments are binding on all people, because all people are descended from Noah and his family. The 613 mitzvot of the Torah, on the other hand, are only binding on the descendants of those who accepted the commandments at Sinai and upon those who take on the yoke of the commandments voluntarily (by conversion). Some say that the Noahic commandments are applied more leniently to non-Jews than the corresponding commandments are to Jews, because non-Jews do not have the benefit of Oral Torah to guide them in interpreting the laws. Some European rabbis (presumably because of fear of reprisal from their Christian neighbors, famous for their violence to Jews) have gone so far as to say that worshipping God in the form of a man constitutes idolatry for a Jew punishable by death, but the Trinitarian Christian worship of Jesus does not constitute idolatry. In truth, any idolatry for which a Jew is punishable by death is also punishable by death for non-Jews, including the worship of a man as a god.

Of course worshipping three gods does not constitute blasphemy againt the Talmudic Pharasites, for it was them which set up iniquity of gods worship two thousand years ago, to make all mankind who refuse the IAM, Christ Jesus, anti-Christ "SAYERS" and twice the children of hell. The most commonly used Hebrew or Yiddish word for a non-Jew is goy. The word "goy" means nation, and refers to the fact that goyim are members of other nations, that is, nations other than the Children of Israel. There is nothing inherently insulting about the word "goy". In fact, the Bible occasionally refers to the Jewish people using the term "goy". Most notably, in Exodus 19,6, God says that the Children of Israel will be "a kingdom of priests and a holy nation", that is, a goy kadosh. Because Jews have had so many bad experiences with anti-Semitic non-Jews over the centuries, the term "goy" has taken on some negative connotations, but in general the term is no more insulting than the word "Gentile".

The more insulting terms for non-Jews are shiksa (feminine) and shkutz or sheketz (masculine). It may be gathered that these words are derived from the Hebrew root Shin-Qof-Tzade, meaning loathsome or abomination. The word shiksa is most commonly used to refer to a non-Jewish woman who is dating or married to a Jewish man, which should give some indication of how strongly Jews are opposed to the idea of intermarriage

Love and Brotherhood

Many people think of Judaism as the religion of cold, harsh laws, to be contrasted with Christianity, the religion of love and brotherhood. This is an unfair characterization of both Judaism and Jewish law. Laws are at the heart of Judaism, but a large part of Jewish law is about love and brotherhood, the relationship between man and his neighbors. Jewish law commands us to eat only kosher food, not to do forbidden work on shabbat, and not to wear wool woven with linen; but it also commands us to love all Jews (and converts in particular), to give aid to the poor and needy, and to do no wrong to anyone in speech or in business. In fact, acts of love and kindness are so much a part of Jewish law that the word "mitzvah" (literally, "commandment") is commonly used to mean any good deed.

And they admit that they too need be decapitated, and indeed they will, decapitated from their head, Satan, by Christ Jesus the Lord of Lords

The Talmud tells a story of Rabbi Hillel, who lived around the time of Jesus. A pagan came to him saying that he would convert to Judaism if Hillel could teach him the whole of the Torah in the time he could stand on one foot. Hillel replied, "What is hateful to yourself, do not do to your fellow man. That is the whole Torah; the rest is just commentary. Go and study it".

Love your neighbor as your self, cut his head off, then give yours a whack? All in the name of that g-d of the "SAYERS"

The "Golden Rule" is not an idea that began with Christianity. It was a fundamental part of the Torah long before Hillel or Jesus. It is a common-sense application of the Torah commandment to love your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19,18), which Rabbi Akiba described as the essence of the Torah.

The true difference between Judaism and Christianity lies in Hillel's last comment: Go and study it. The Torah is not content to leave love and brotherhood as a general ideal, to be fulfilled as each individual sees fit; it spells out, in intricate detail, how we are meant to show that love

While the Christians do generally accept the Hebrew Bible as truly from God, many of them (those who accept the so-called divinity of Jesus) are idolaters according to the Torah, punishable by death, and certainly will not enjoy the World to Come.

Jewish law includes within it a blueprint for a just and ethical society, where no one takes from another or harms another or takes advantage of another, but everyone gives to one another and helps one another and protects one another. Again, these are not merely high ideals; the means for fulfilling these ideals are spelled out in the 613 commandments, which are to be put into practice in the real world, not just thought about.

And of course when they deliver you to be slain by false witnesses, as they did Jesus, and slay you contrary to their laws as they did Jesus, they of course won't be lying, for they and their father already admit to their abominations

Entire books have been written on the subject of Jewish laws against wronging another person in speech. We are commanded not to tell lies about a person, nor even uncomplimentary things that are true. We are commanded to speak the truth, to fulfill our promises, and not to deceive others. I have become known for taking hopeless cases involving the politically incorrect. Used to be, there weren’t that many, but it has turned into a flood today. I can’t even keep track of all that crop up these days.

These cases bode ill for every single person in this room, indeed, everybody throughout

America

today, particularly for our ability to speak out as we are doing in this conference.

For example, back in Idaho recently I tried a case I have dubbed Say the N-word, Go to Jail, wherein a black man who assaulted and physically injured a white woman in the presence of her husband was never charged with anything.

He faced five years in prison under a hate crime charge because he hurled the N-word at the back of the black man as he fled.

Convicted of a lesser offense, the husband was sentenced to a week in jail. We are appealing that right now.

The jury convicted because the white couple was politically incorrect: poor, white and on the wrong side of a racial insult.

Another case I tried just this past year involved a young couple whose children were taken from them on an anonymous tip by Child Protective Services while the family was visiting Oregon , allegedly due to criminal mistreatment. The kids were skinny, you see – the family was vegetarian - and one girl had a small cut on her forehead.

They refused to cooperate for several months, because they felt they had done nothing wrong, so CPS said it would adopt out the kids.

Now, these folks were home-schooling Christians. At trial, the state made a big point of having found a copy of the Declaration of Independence taped to the inside wall of the converted bus that served as the family’s home...that this was evidence of the parents being antigovernment.

The parents took their children back from the State at gunpoint and fled the state. Tried for kidnapping, robbery and lesser charges, the wife received 7 ½ years and her husband 12 ½ years. Under state law, those are minimums – without any sort of early release possible.

Again, these folks were politically incorrect: poor, white, vegetarian, home-schooling Christians.

A similar case with which I was briefly involved two years ago saw an Idaho widow jailed, allegedly for mistreating her kids. Again, the kids were home schooled and skinny – again, the family was vegetarian.

The children and the family dogs were in a highly publicized 1-week standoff with sheriff’s deputies in the county where I live in Idaho , after they witnessed their mother’s arrest.

She was politically incorrect, of course: poor, white, vegetarian, home schooling and distrustful of government.

Now I see a move to try to declare homes unfit if children are being home schooled.

Next you will see children being taken because the families are Christians. Indeed, that was one of the justifications for Waco , you know.

Two years ago, I tried a case for Richard Butler, founder and head of the Aryan Nations in Hayden , Idaho .

In that case, three borderline derelicts that Butler allowed to stay on his property in exchange for yard work went racing off late one night, chasing after two people they believed had just taken a shot at the compound buildings in the dark.

These fellows shot out a rear tire of the car they were pursuing, running it into a ditch.

Morris Dees and the SPLC came to town for what the judge insisted was “just another personal injury case.” Nothing could have been further from the truth.

This was a free speech case – they were out to silence Butler , pure and simple.

You simply don’t get more politically incorrect than Butler , of course. Because of that, though the two occupants of the car run into the ditch had no medical bills, the jury awarded $6.5 million against Butler , forcing him into bankruptcy and taking his home away from him.

Just last month, the US Supreme Court dealt free speech another mortal blow when it ruled, in Virginia vs. Black, that states may outlaw cross burning.

The Council of Conservative Citizens asked me to submit an “amicus curiae” brief to the US Supreme Court, arguing against the position now adopted. I was happy to oblige.

The court’s ruling flies directly in the face of a long line of flag desecration rulings, which hold that flag burning is symbolic speech, thus deserving of First Amendment protection.

Thus the court advances the frontier of American thought crime yet another notch.

How does one divine your secret intent to intimidate others while you perform your symbolic speech of cross burning in your own back yard?

Is this like saying the N-word, which is okay if you're black, but now a hate crime if you're white?

Since what is being punished ostensibly is one’s evil intent, what if I harbor the evilest of intents and burn, say, a lawn chair? Do I still go to jail?

Few will dispute that cross burning is ugly behavior. But, it is just the sort of ugliness in which true beauty resides - the beauty of free speech.

Too bad that, as a society, we have yet to mature to the point where we see real beauty regardless of the context.

And there are lots of other cases, just like these that I have mentioned, going on in

America

right now – thousands and thousands of them.

Though it isn't being reported as such in the media, there is a roundup taking place of those who dare to speak out against the current Administration, usually on bogus charges.

The most visible arrest lately has been that of Matt Hale, head of the World Church of the Creator, taken down on what appear to be manufactured charges of soliciting the murder of a judge sitting on a copyright case in which his organization has been involved.

A judge who, incredibly enough, has since ordered that the church's bibles be destroyed.

Hardly anybody agrees with or approves of Hale. Most dismiss his church as being no church at all, but merely an excuse to vent racial hatred. That is not the point.

Hale disagrees with and criticises the policies of the American government and that is the point.

Hale is being held in solitary confinement, with nobody, including his father and lawyers, allowed to see him.

Picked up just a few weeks ago was Ernst Zundel, a Canadian expatriate who had been living in Tennessee with his American wife.

Zundel was central to a notable hate speech trial in Canada years ago, which he lost when the court ruled that he was a "Holocaust denier," merely because he took issue, in writing, with many of the claims made by jews concerning the Holocaust.

What matters now is that he disagreed with the American government regarding many things. His crime? He missed a visa hearing of which he swears he never received notice.

Society needs people who dispute the historical record. After all, some of these people may be right.

If spreading false information is a crime, as Ernst Zundel is accused of doing, shouldn't we also lock up the Administration officials who lied to us about

Iraq

’s weapons of mass destruction?

A lady running something called the Aryan Baby Drive , which collected children's clothing for free distribution, solely to needy white people, was recently arrested in Southern California .

Government agents found a couple of things - things that probably are in your garage right now - things they said could be used in the manufacture of a bomb.

Well, she had been openly critical of the government. Worse, she blatantly discriminated in favor of the white race.

Recently, David Duke worked out a plea bargain whereby he just started a year’s worth of hard time, allegedly for embezzling contributions.

The facts literally do not hold water in his case, but he didn't dare go before a jury on any charge, because a conviction was certain, simply because of who he is.

Chester Doles is a state-level organizer for the National Alliance, founded by the late Dr. William Pierce.

Chester is in jail today, awaiting trial on federal gun charges, charged with being a 'felon in possession of a firearm' though he owned no firearms and though he is not a felon.

It's because of an old misdemeanor conviction -- and because one of his family members owned guns -- that the Joint Terrorism Task Force has charged Chester, who now faces up to ten years in prison.

He really was arrested because of his politically-incorrect beliefs, of course.

I had never lost a case at trial until I got involved with politically-incorrect cases like these – they have opened my eyes to the prejudice of judges and juries.

Bottom line: the politically incorrect are going to jail in record numbers, often for trivial or trumped-up charges...and they quite simply can’t get justice in

America

today.

And they can’t afford lawyers, either, which is why I have had to handle the vast majority of mine pro bono...because I believe in the issues involved.

The “Ghosts of Mississippi” was a film about the shooting of black civil rights activist, Medgar Evers, and the ensuing prosecution and conviction in 1994 of Byron De La Beckwith.

De La Beckwith had been tried twice in the 60’s – twice walking free because of hung juries.

It took a change in the times to convict him. A change in political correctness.

The movie would have you believe that, in the time leading up to the trial, the prosecutor’s family members were threatened by white supremacists, so he sent them away.

That never happened. I found that particularly ironic, however, because it did happen to me in the Aryan Nations case.

In the weeks leading up to that trial, my little children received death threats from a woman with a decidedly Jewish accent.

I personally received many death threats, among them one from Mark Wiles, lead henchman for Irv Rubin’s Jewish Defense League.

You can go to my web site and hear some of these threats for yourself, because many were left on my family’s answering machine.

I sent my family away for several weeks prior to that trial and slept with a .45 automatic, which I carried with me at all times I wasn’t actually in court.

Any time one of these cases goes to court, the defendants are losers going in, due to media vilification and bias on the part of prosecutors, judges and juries.

Note that these cases always involve political conservatives, usually Christians, often home schoolers, always poor, always white, often outspoken regarding race or the shortcomings of the current Administration.

Is there even one person here today who does not at least partially fit that description?

The Kennedy Federal Hate Crime bill, killed in the Senate last year, will be back.

Bush and Ashcroft have declared their critics to be traitors and warn the rest of us to watch what we say.

The media is totally under the control of the politically correct today – the “inner party,” if you will.

Whites are depicted as stupid and racist, while blacks are both noble and witty.

Homosexuality is a desirable lifestyle, Christians are narrow-minded bigots and Patriots are traitors.

Orwell said, "War is Peace" – Today, we have perpetual war to "keep the peace."

Orwell said, "Freedom is Slavery" – Today, we yield our civil liberties in the name of domestic security.

Orwell said, "Ignorance is Strength" – Today, we accuse those who merely ask questions of being unpatriotic.

Orwell's "Ministry of Peace" waged war -- Our Defense Department conducts nonstop wars that we start.

Now, conservative means bigger government and more control (not less, the classic definition of conservative).

Since the Republicans took power in Congress nearly ten years ago, federal spending has gone up 60%. 60%!

And there is nothing liberal about liberals any more - who fall over one another to surrender personal freedom.

Many today do not realize that liberal used to mean favoring personal freedom and liberty.

We allow the Homeland Security Department to arrest our fellow citizens so that we might feel safe and secure.

It is our Child Protective Services that facilitate wholesale child kidnapping, abuse, rape and murder.

We support and create totalitarianism, then call it democracy, both at home and abroad.

A great many Christians have become singularly unChristian toward those with whom they disagree.

The term “media” used to mean an honest newspaper, truthful reporting on the radio and, especially, books! Everyone read them.

Today, reading is reserved for the tabloids, People magazine, romance novels and TV Guide.

Today, they both work, are usually divorced anyway, and their one child sits home alone, watching TV for hours on end every day.

Used to be, everyone read and wrote well. Today, even teachers can’t spell.

Today, it’s the entitlement mentality of socialism, with the centralized control of everything and everybody.

Today, we possess only privileges, dispensed at the pleasure of our federal government.

The Patriot Bill was passed by Congress without even being read by any legislator.

In just the past year, both agency regulators and the Supreme Court have extended rulings which erode due process beyond even the woefully-named Patriot Act.

Meanwhile, laws are already on the books -- as part of the first Patriot Act -- that allow the government to visit our local libraries and bookstores to examine our reading habits.

Recent FOIA changes implemented by Bush have put most public documents out of reach.

Very recent executive orders put still more public data out of reach, marked as “sensitive, but unclassified.”

Provisions in Patriot Act II will allow secret arrests, warrantless searches, broad asset forfeiture and, believe it or not, the stripping of citizenship from Americans. Once so disenfranchised, we can be deported for “further processing.”

To be arrested under Patriot Act II, one merely has to be accused by bureaucrats of providing support to groups designated as terrorist organizations, even if one is unaware of that group's activities.

While we debate the merits of military tribunals, far worse takes place as family after family is ripped apart by courts...

where you are guilty until proven innocent and there is no way to prove your innocence.

Lesbians spread their hatred of men but are never charged, while feminists teach young girls that all men are potential rapists.

Blacks taunt whites with names like “honky” or “cracker,” without recrimination.

Tomorrow’s police state already has been established – just go down to your local airport to see it in action.

Tomorrow’s property rights will go the way of today’s rural cleansing – especially with Federal zoning.

Tomorrow’s Christians are already here, helping to ensure their own destruction.

There will be no real art or literature, as a result of the dumbing down of Americans.

No private wealth or, even, cash; just electronic credits and debits, so that money can be taxed and controlled at every turn.

Even now, any business that accepts cash in the amount of $2,000 or more from a customer must file a “Suspicious Activities Report” with the Treasury.

George W. Bush is an inarticulate and politically inexperienced man whose own father once was President and, before that, head of

’s secret police, the CIA. Coincidence?

His election was assured by disputed vote counts in a state governed by his own brother. Coincidence?

What’s more, recently a bill was introduced in the House of Representatives by New York Democrat Representative Jose Serrano to remove the two-term restriction on the Presidency by rescinding the 22^nd Amendment.

It would take, of course, 3 or 4 years to get it past enough states to become effective, so the timing is just right to allow Bush to assume a third term, in 2008.

Today, we have a dictatorship with only the illusion of democracy; not even a pretense of a Republic anymore.

Legislators simply steal, from the top of the heap for the new priesthood: the legal profession.

The UN isn’t coming. ”They” aren’t taking us over…we are taking over the rest of the world.

America

writ large, but no Bill of Rights; indeed, no individual rights whatsoever.

The system is broken – irretrievably broken. It can’t be fixed because it won’t be fixed.

We can’t work within the system any more to effect meaningful change because the system won’t allow it.

As a lawyer, I’m inside the system. Everyone says the system is broken. You don’t know how bad things really are.

I take the cases that I do in order to make a statement. No way can I change things.

So many individuals whose only crimes are poverty – or Christianity – or conservatism – float by me all the time, doomed to be sucked under and devoured.

Meanwhile, the great masses of our countrymen who have not yet become tyrannized are living on borrowed time.

We have suffered affirmative action due to a false sense of guilt about the treatment of blacks we never knew by whites with whom we have nothing in common except skin color.

We didn’t realize we were merely trading places with those who had been discriminated against in the past.

We have endured the spectacle of renaming schools, streets, buildings and parks after blacks, replacing the memory of our founding fathers with those whose primary contribution to

America

society is their skin color.

Not one of the founding fathers has a holiday named solely for himself. Martin Luther King, Jr. does, though. We know why.

We have witnessed the Confederate flag stricken from public venues. Now we see the beginnings of the Stars and Stripes being labeled a mark of oppression.

Schools teach to the bottom of the classes, then keep lowering the standards so that students appear as smart as ever. We know why.

We have sacrificed our children to a false sense of guilt in pursuit of intellectual equality that never will be achieved.

We suffer massive levels of crime that did not exist even 30 years ago, overwhelmingly at the hands of “people of color.”

Though our media and government do everything possible to skew the statistics, we know who is to blame.

Blacks commit 7 times the violent crimes of Whites and are only one-seventh of the total population. Do the math: Blacks are 50 times more likely to commit violent crime than the average white.

In the last 30 years, 45,000 Americans have been killed in interracial murders, overwhelmingly black on white.

Almost as many as the number of Americans lost in

Vietnam

and much more than the 34,000 killed in

Korea

There is a very real war – a race war – being waged in the streets of

The Fed runs its presses around the clock, with each dollar printed cheapening further those already in circulation.

The dollar has declined 25% in a little more than a year and its fall has only just begun.

The coming economic crash will lead to a change in our calling the Depression of the early Thirties the “Great” Depression, just as WWII caused “The Great War” to be renamed WWI.

The coming crash will be spectacular, combining hyperinflation with the simultaneous deflation of primary assets, just as occurred in pre-WWII Weimar

Germany

– ideal conditions for a totalitarian police state.

Yet, American corporations continue to ship our manufacturing and service jobs to third-world countries.

Continuing corruption in the corporate world and no effort on anybody’s part to fix things.

We have a financial system on the verge of collapse and all we hear are lies from our government, Wall Street, corporate

America

and the media.

Social Security benefits are being cut while new age limits undercut younger workers.

Expect benefits to be cut further for those who enter retirement with even modest means.

Soon, this fraud will be joined by a 50% loss in private pension payments, already existing, but not yet booked by the funds.

The Bush Administration has announced its intention to give nearly a half-billion dollars in Social Security funds to Mexican citizens that have worked in the

United States

, even illegally, including those now living in other countries.

Under what is being called "totalization," a foreigner can add the years worked in a foreign country to the years worked in the

U.S.

, to qualify for lifetime benefits, even if no longer living in the

U.S.

and even if he worked here illegally.

In other words, they can get a full pension without having paid one penny into the system.

Over a half million jobs have been lost just in the past three months, yet the government says unemployment hovers around 6%. Yeah, right.

In two years, millions of jobs have vanished from America, mostly to the third world, and there are now 4.8 million people working part-time, people who used to work full time.

We’re just limping along, while consumers literally hemorrhage money gotten by refinancing their homes.

And, over two million American homes have been lost to foreclosure in the past year.

A recovery requires investment in capital by business, together with savings all across the board. Neither is happening in

America

today.

Billions of dollars for welfare, food stamps, school and medical care for illegals, paid for by us, though many of us can no longer afford to feed our own kids properly.

We can’t afford to send our kids to college, the same college that provides free tuition and living expenses to those whose sole qualification is their skin color.

We spend trillions to hold countries that hate us in check, while many of our own live in poverty.

We can’t watch TV or read newspapers and magazines without having “hate whitey” (aka diversity) thrown in our face at every turn.

Of course, fewer and fewer of us read as a result of the illiteracy engendered by the failing social experiment that

America

has become.

We endure the dismantling of Christianity and its removal from every public edifice.

We see our pastors stand idly by, often lending a hand to those who would replace Christianity with other religions.

We prohibit the mention of Christ in our schools, yet our children are instructed in Islam and homosexuality.

The American population consists of 2-1/2% jews versus 70% Caucasian (used to be 95%, not too long ago), yet they set the agenda.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Continuing to raise concerns over "The Passion," the Mel Gibson-directed film about the last days of Jesus Christ, the Anti-Defamation League of America (ADL) charged Tuesday that, based on a study of an early version of the screenplay, the project could be "replete with objectionable elements that would promote anti-Semitism."

The ADL embraced the findings of an interfaith committee of scholars that has raised objections to the unreleased film -- even though the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has distanced itself from the same group.

In its statement, the ADL contended that Gibson and his collaborators "must complement their artistic vision with sound scholarship, which includes knowledge of how the passion accounts have been used historically to disparage and attack Jews and Judaism. Absent such scholarly and theological understanding, productions such as 'The Passion' could likely falsify history and fuel the animus of those who hate Jews."

"To be certain, neither I nor my film are anti-Semitic," Gibson said in a previously released statement, which his spokesman provided in response to the latest allegation.

"Nor do I hate anybody -- certainly not the Jews," continued Gibson, who is a devout Catholic. "They are my friends and associates, both in my work and social life. Thankfully, treasured friendships forged over decades are not easily shaken by nasty innuendo. Anti-Semitism is not only contrary to my personal beliefs, it is also contrary to the core message of my movie."

Gibson directed "The Passion," which he also co-wrote and produced through his Icon Entertainment banner, in Italy earlier this year. Filmed in Aramaic and Latin, the project stars James Caviezel as Christ and has not yet been shown to potential distributors.

The ADL first began to raise concerns about the film in March, in both a letter to the New York Times and a letter addressed to Gibson that the organization posted on its Web site.

The controversy erupted again earlier this month when a report was leaked to the media that had been prepared by scholars, associated with both the ADL and the USCCB, based on a study of an early version of the script and containing a long list of objections.

The USCCB, however, quickly dissociated itself from the report, with Mark Chopko, general counsel for the USCCB, saying: "We regret the situation has occurred and offer our apologies. ... When the film is released, the USCCB will review it at the time."

In its current statement, the ADL says it "fully stands behind" the scholars' report and raises a series of questions such as, "Will the final version of 'The Passion' continue to portray Jews as bloodthirsty, sadistic and money-hungry enemies of Jesus?"

Myrna Shinbaum, a spokesperson for the ADL, said the group issued its first official public statement on the subject Tuesday in response to repeated press inquiries.

"When these kind of issues are raised and we feel concern, we speak out even before the film has been made," she said, acknowledging that the concerns are based on an early version of the screenplay. "We haven't seen it yet, so we can't speak to the film itself.

"In expressing our concerns," Shinbaum added, "we hope we can have a dialogue with Gibson and Icon to allay the fears of the Jewish community."

America prepares for a long war. It is called ‘the war on terrorism’, but the name has no meaning but ‘a war on the enemy’. Noam Chomsky gave a witty definition, "terrorism is what they do to us". However, in the course of this war, thousands of our brothers by Adam and Eve will be strafed, napalmed and nuked. Boys and girls, unborn babes and old men will be brought to the altar of Vengeance and ritually slaughtered.

President Bush called his enterprise, a ‘crusade’. This title invokes in our memory the dour knights of Aquitaine and the pious Frankish warriors who took the Cross, and with the name of Our Lady on their lips, ventured into a long and hard pilgrimage. Reality was worse. The Crusade was a Western Jihad and it caused a lot of bloodshed. The Crusaders were wild and unruly, they sacked the most beautiful Christian city on earth, Constantinople, and they drenched in blood the holy ground of Jerusalem. A Crusader chronicler, Radulf of Caen, wrote of his comrades-at-arms: in the Syrian city of Maarra, ‘they impaled babies on spits, grilled and devoured them’. They were rough folk, and still I would like to save the name of these killers and cannibals from being besmirched by association with Bush’s Crusade. They sought glory, not revenge, this most un-Christian, even anti-Christian feeling.

The very essence of the Gospel is the rejection of revenge. That was the great difference between the Church and the Synagogue, the two sisters born two thousand years ago. This built-in difference is the inherent feature of the schism between the two faiths: while Christians are called to pray for their enemies, Jews are supposed to dream of vengeance.

The Old Biblical Judaism, Mother-faith of Jews and Christians, contained two different interpretations of ‘Messiah’. Both can be found in the Old Testament. In the schism between Christians and Jews, each new faith picked up and made predominant one of the interpretations. For Christians, Christ came to save, while for Jews, the Messiah comes to take revenge. This is explicated by the brilliant Israeli scholar, Prof. Israel Jacob Yuval of the Hebrew University in his new book, Two Nations In Your Womb . ‘Vengeful salvation’, as Yuval called it, was derived by the Ashkenazi Jews from the old Pharisee sources and became the prevailing doctrine of the Synagogue.

When Dr Israel Yuval published his perspicacious book on theology of vengeance in Judaism, it was accepted with great enthusiasm by his Israeli colleagues, but the American Jewish scholars hated it. Dr Ezra Fleischer wrote a vehement critique, concluding it with the words: ‘it would be better if such a book had not been published, but since it is published, it should be sentenced to oblivion’.

Prof. Yuval quotes many ancient Jewish texts to support this point. "In the End of the days (when the Messiah comes) God will destroy, kill and exterminate all the nations but Israelites", according to the Sefer Nitzahon Yashan, written by a German Jew in Thirteenth Century. A liturgical poet Klonimus b. Judah had a vision of "God’s hands full of Goyim’s corpses".

Even more dreadful dreams of blood and destruction precede the first attacks on Jews in the end of Eleventh Century. A hundred years before the Crusaders’ onslaught on Jews, R. Simon b. Yitzhak calls on God ‘to take His sword and slaughter the Goyim". In order to hasten their destruction, the Jewish sages of Europe adopted new horrible curses against Christians and Christ, and introduced them into liturgy of Passover and Yom Kippur and even into daily prayer, in addition to the curses embedded there in the Second Century.

The Messiah of Vengeance has actually a different name in Christian theology. He is called the Antichrist. Christian theologians have tried to delve in the qualities of this apocalyptic figure. St John of Damascus prophesied that the Antichrist will come to Jews and for Jews, against Christ and Christians. (John the Damascene was a friend of Islam and he interpreted the Muslim dogma of eternal Koran as a form of the Christian teaching of Logos). The Church Fathers considered the Rise of the Antichrist as the rise and temporary triumph of Judaism. In the Tenth Century, St Andrew the Byzantine prophesied that the kingdom of Israel will be restored and it will be the launching-pad of the Antichrist. Thus, Jewish and Christian theologians agree that their Messiahs are as opposed to each other as thesis and anti-thesis, or as Christ and Antichrist.

This proximity of Israel to the Apocalypse is felt by millions of devout Christians in the United States. They have been taught that the rise of the Antichrist is the stage before the Second Coming. But, being misled by their pastors, they draw a paradoxical conclusion and decide to side with the Antichrist. They forget the words, ‘the Son of Man will go as it has been decreed, but woe to that man’ who sides with the Antichrist.

Jews are not an Antichrist. But the idea of Vengeful Messiah is a very dangerous one, and it should be confronted and argued against. It could be done by the tools of the Old, or the New Testament, or with general humanist concepts. Otherwise, this idea will poison our discourse.

It would be mistake to attribute the vengefulness of the US to American Jewry. America is special for its Jews and Gentiles are discursively united ‘Judeo-Christians’, or more precisely, ‘Judeo-Americans’, for their mores have precious little of the spirit of Christ. As Karl Marx put it, "the practical domination of Jewish spirit over the Christian world has achieved in North America its unambiguous, complete expression".

This vengeful spirit of the American press is an aberration in the Western discourse. If you sift the literature of the Christian and Muslim lands, you would discover that revenge appears rarely as the main subject of an important book. Nikolai Gogol wrote a Gothic short story called The Terrible Revenge, Prosper Mérimée wrote a novelette Colomba on Corsican vendetta. C’est tout. Brits always considered revenge a very un-English trend, certainly not cricket. ‘Vengeful’ is a negative word in every Christian and Muslim culture. The Jewish culture, au contraire, is saturated with the idea of vengeance, as it draws straight from the Old Testament, without the redeeming filter of the New Testament or the Koran.

We Jews know it better than anybody. A brilliant American Jewish journalist, John Sack noted that in his Eye for an Eye, a chilling book about horrible revenge perpetrated by Jews on the German civilians after WWII. This book tells of tortures, ‘extra-judicial killings’, mass poisoning and other horrors. You are not likely to get this book, as the Jewish establishment succeeded to suppress it and keep it out of bookshops.

Not surprisingly, Israel promoted vengeance into its daily policy. Its attacks on Palestinians were called peulot tagmul, the actions of vengeance. One of these actions was perpetrated by (the present Prime Minister) General Ariel Sharon in 14 October 1953, when he and his soldiers murdered some sixty peasants, women and children, in the village of Qibya. The invasion of Lebanon in 1982, with its 20,000 murdered Lebanese and Palestinians, Christians and Muslims, was an act of revenge for the attempted assassination of the Israeli ambassador in London. During the last Intifada, every act of Israeli terror was called ‘retribution’ or ‘retaliation’ by Israelis and by the American Jewish-owned media.

This Jewish infatuation with vengeance survived the hazardous crossing of the Atlantic. The American Jews created Hollywood, and Hollywood made vengeance its main subject. In a recent American re-make of The Three Musketeers, d’Artagnan is moved by the spirit of vengeance, though this motif is hardly present in the book or in French movie. Actually, it is the bad guy, Mordred, son of Lady Winter, who nurses dreams of revenge. But for the new American movie, produced by a Jewish American, vengeance is a legitimate feeling. In a way, American cinema was an expression of the Jewish collective subconscious, and it was the main factor in the creation of the American psyche. From Hollywood, vengefulness flew all over the earth, and certainly helped to create the world we inhabit.

In other words, there was no need for a Jewish conspiracy. A grandson of Trier Rabbi, who grew up in the Church, Karl Marx noticed in the 1840s (!) that America (with or even without a single ethnic Jew) had become a state with a "Jewish" spirit, and had embraced the "Jewish" ideology of greed and alienation. A Marx’s disciple, Werner Sombart, came to a similar conclusion about America’s Jewish spirit, though in his opinion, America grew with Jews and was formed by Jews from its very first steps. The rather immature America could not withstand the impact of the Jewish mentality, and she became a Jewish State, the big sister of Israel.

This explains the successes of American Jews: it is just natural that in the ‘Jewish’ state, real Jews are more successful. This sudden rise to glory and riches should not be a cause for vertigo and self adulation - other way around. In line with the reasoning of the great American philosopher, Immanuel Wallerstein, I say: material success in our days is a sign of moral failure. ‘Success’ and riches are not a sign of God’s benevolence. Anyway, not of the God who blessed the poor. A man who succeeds in the robbers’ gang fails in the eyes of God. Our world with its starving millions and over-prosperous minority is immoral and anti-Christian, as anti-Christian as the Judeo-American ‘crusade’.

This explanation allows us to answer the question we posted previously: does America support Israel because of the Jewish lobby or because of the ‘true interest of American corporations’? The putative answer is: the Jewish lobby is a superfluous body supportive of the Israeli right-wing, while America as a whole is a grander ‘Jewish’ state with interests outside the Middle East as well.

This presumption explains away a lot of queries. It explains the incredible 99% vote in support of Israel. It explains the Holocaust museums, Holocaust studies and Holocaust films. It explains the centrality of Jews in American life, as now America views world events from a traditional Jewish position, ‘is it good for Jews?’

It explains the US walkout at Durban. G.W Bush did not mind a quarrel with Europe and Japan and reneged on the Kyoto treaty. He did not give a damn about annoying Russia and China in his unilateral decision to drop the Strategic Arms Treaty. But here he heard His Master’s Voice. The haughty rejection of Africa and Asia, the insulting dismissal of the Afro-American community, the rejection of the great struggle against racism were additional proofs that the US has become a sister state to Israel.

Recently, President Vladimir Putin tried to justify his onslaught on the Chechens in an interview with Newsweek . He said the Chechen leaders ‘publicly called for the extermination of Jews’, relegating critics of his war to the ranks of anti-Semites. Now, Chechnya has no Jews, and Chechen leaders’ opinion on Jews is irrelevant, if anti-Semitism is to preserve its original meaning of ‘anti-Jewish prejudice or racism’. In this form it does not exist anymore, as we argued elsewhere , but the word now has a new meaning. It has become the equivalent of ‘anti-Americanism’ of McCarthy’s days, or of ‘anti-Soviet’ in Brezhnev’s Soviet Union.

Americans tense and shriek whenever they feel their loyalty to Jews questioned. Whoever rejects the new American paradigm, in America or elsewhere, is an anti-Semite by definition. That is why good persons of Jewish origin, - whether Noam Chomsky or Woody Allen, St Paul or Karl Marx - are called ‘anti-Semites’. They are usually rejected by the Jewish community, but their names are used to defend the structure they attacked.

An offence to the Jewish community is not considered a form of racism, as ordinary racism is tolerated with great ease, especially if it is directed towards Arabs (new enemies of Jews) or Blacks (old enemies of Jews). It is treated as a ‘lese majesté’; in the years of Jewish ascendancy in the Soviet Union (1917 – 1937), people were shot for an anti-Jewish remark. Manfred Stricker of Strasbourg campaigned to name the local university after Dr Schweitzer, while the Jewish community preferred the name of a Jewish scholar with a loose connection to the city. As the result, Manfred Stricker was sentenced to six months’ jail. Alexander Chancellor wrote in the Guardian (under a promising title It is not Black and White) of the assassinated Dutch right-winger: yes, he was an enemy of Islam, but he was good to Jews, and therefore, not bad a guy.

Speaking to students in Harvard, Emory and other Ivy League universities, I noticed that they do not know the name ‘Arnold Toynbee’. The greatest British philosopher of history of the Twentieth Century made an error: he spoke of the tragedy of the Palestinians. He also cited African slavery as a tragedy on a par with the Jewish holocaust. As a result, he was erased and disappeared from American consciousness. It is but impossible to find non-fiction by G. K. Chesterton in American or English bookshops. This brilliant essayist is relegated to almost non-existent ‘Christian sections’ of bookshops, and his rare reprints are sandwiched between Bad Popes and Rabbi Jesus.

This influence in public discourse explains the obedience of American (and European) intellectuals. In the Judeo-American state, the Jews form its ‘Church’, its ideological establishment. For an intellectual, it is better to be called a paedophile than an anti-Semite.

Though the US has become a Judeo-Christian state, the question of Who Rules Whom in the ménage a trois of Jews, Israel and the US is not a simple one. The three dramatis personae form a triangle as mysterious as that of Bermuda and certainly no less perilous. Half a year ago, some dubious sources reported Sharon saying at a cabinet meeting: ‘Do not worry about the US, it is under our control’. The words were denied, but as the uprising in Palestine swiftly glides into a Joshua-style extermination campaign, while the US ‘supports the war against terrorism’, the doubts grow.

The very existence of a corporate entity known as "the Jewish People" (or, Jewry, or The Jews) is frequently denied. Some two hundred years ago Jewry existed as unambiguously as France or the Church. Our ancestors were members of this extra-territorial state, an authoritarian semi-criminal order, run by rich men and Rabbis. Its leadership, called Kahal (Hebrew for Community) made the important decisions, and ordinary Jews followed their directions. The leadership could dispose with life and property of Jews, just like any feudal ruler. There was no freedom of opinion within the walls of the ghetto. A rebellious Jew could be punished by death. Came Emancipation, and the power of the Kahal was broken from inside and outside. The Jews were set free and became citizens of their respective countries.

Nowadays, a new generation of Jews has emerged that does not know of Joseph. Years of apologetic brainwashing made them forget why our grandfathers wanted to break the iron walls of the Jewish community. The notion of Jewry has become a moot point. Are we, the descendents of Jews, citizens of our countries, or are we citizens of the Jewish People? Does ‘Jewry’ exist, in the same way any state exists, or it is just a figure of speech?

Here is a paradox: the Jewish leaders want Jewry to be a sort of Stealth jet, now you see it, now you don’t. It is here to strafe, it is nowhere for flak. They say: ‘That’s what Hitler said’ or ‘That was invented by the writers of the forgery, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion’, and they forget to say that it is written into Israel’s Declaration of Independence as well. Israel actually is described as ‘the State of the Jewish People’, and that is why it attracts disproportionate attention and influence as the visible (and territorially bound) part of Jewry. That is why an ambassadorial position in Tel Aviv is considered among the highest and most desirable for a career diplomat. The concept of ‘the Jewish People’ received a singular recognition in international law, when the Jewish People were declared in 1950 and in 1991 by modern Germany to be the residual heir of intestate Jews. The Israeli Criminal Law allows the state of Israel to judge and prosecute any person on the globe who acted against a person, health, life, property or dignity of a Jew, even if this Jew has no connection whatsoever with the state of Israel.

We, children of emancipated Jewish parents, are as surprised as anybody. Nothing prepared us for the miraculous recovery of Jewry. Just recently it was on its way out, indeed, proclaimed dead; and we had come to consider ourselves free men. Within our lifetime, things have changed drastically, and now we are being called upon to declare allegiance to this body, or suffer ostracism and humiliation, probably loss of livelihood, or worse. Jewry (please do not confuse this term with the millions of descendents of medieval Jews) has regained its place in world politics, and taken over the mind of the only superpower, the US.

Isaac Deutscher, a Jewish Marxist and a biographer of Trotsky, was among the first Jews to notice this phenomenon. He proposed in his essay Who is a Jew (published in the Jewish Quarterly, London 1966) to distinguish between ‘Jews’ and ‘Jewry’. While Jews are individuals of various opinions and ways of life, Jewry is a quasi-national body with its own leadership and agenda. In his opinion, Jewry was on its way to disappearance, but from the ashes of the World War Two ‘the phoenix of Jewry has risen’. ‘I would have preferred Jews to survive and Jewry to perish’, he wrote, but "the extermination of Jews gave a new lease of life to Jewry".

The self-appointed leadership of revived Jewry achieved the pinnacle of power in close liaison with super-rich Mammon-worshippers. They are intoxicated by their clout and by the lack of opposition. They support the war criminal Sharon, but they consider him too weak. They booed Paul Wolfowitz, the Jewish American super-hawk. Every Israeli politician knows and heeds: there are powerful Jews in America and elsewhere who want endless war in Palestine. They understand the salvation brought by the armies of Russia and America in the World War Two as their personal victory over the Gentile world, as a sign of a new era of Jewry’s world-wide supremacy, promised in Talmud and Cabbala teachings.

Isaac Deutscher ascribed the changes in Israel to their influence:

It would be odd if this ‘wealthy Jew’ would influence only distant Israel. His influence is even stronger in his country, in the US, where he promotes the same idea "of racial-talmudic exclusiveness and superiority", in full harmony with the ‘Jewish’ spirit of America.

These rich men do not need Palestinian land. They are not going to migrate to Israel and work on its vineyards. They use Israel and its people as their dispensable tool in the world-wide game. They misunderstand the Gentiles’ compassion as a sign of weakness. They misunderstand their friendliness as their submission. Like a cat with a mouse, they played with the Church of Nativity to check when Christendom is finally dead, if it will cease to respond. At the same time, they threaten the Mosques of Jerusalem and train American cruise missiles on Baghdad. Instead of Christianity and Judaism, they bring in a new faith: they supplant the Crucifixion by the Holocaust, and the Resurrection by the creation of the State of Israel. For them, Jewish control over the holy sites of Christendom and Islam is a visual proof of their dominance. Their destruction would be a sign of total victory. In a way, they are right: a society without its sacral values is doomed to extinction.

Many Jews and descendents of Jews feel threatened by the concept of Jewry. They usually object to ‘generalities’, to ‘accusation of the whole people’ or ‘hate-mongering’. At first, I was taken aback by their response. Afterwards, I thought that their reasoning is so good that it could be used by others as well. Pity to waste a good thing. For instance,

- How do you dare say the Americans nuked Hiroshima? I am an American, and I did not nuke Hiroshima.

- You say, ‘the English ruled India’. What nonsense! I know hundreds of poor English workers who did not rule India.

- You call for the liberation of Algeria. This is anti-Frenchism! The real difference is not between the French and native Algerians, but between cultured people and Muslim fanatics.

- ‘Russian imperialist policy’? This is a racist remark designed to cause hatred of Russians.

Probably you will admit that this sounds silly. Policies are devised by the elites, carried out by the more-or-less willing majority, and the outsiders suffer the consequences. Jewry is not different from any other state or trans-national corporation. The Jewish leadership has policies, and is able to change them. Naturally, ordinary Jews can submit to or reject them.

This is not much like classified information, but you should not say it out loud. The Jewish establishment can tell Bush to say ‘uncle’ and he will. This is a Polichinelle secret, as the French say. The rest of the world, from the Far East to Northern Europe, knows it full well, and from time to time a reckless prime minister or a speaker of a parliament babbles about it. The US Congress always rises to the occasion and sends its strong protest to the babbling offender, like a henpecked husband who never would admit his fear of wife’s anger in front of beer buddies.

You can say the US is run by Africans, Wasps, Freemasons or Grey Aliens, and you will get no response. You may say that the land is regulated by the Corporations, Standard Oil and Boeing, and nobody will object. But just try to say "the Jews run the US" and you will find yourself in a serious trouble. Now, what is actually the position of the Jews in the US?

It can be described in many ways. They represent the Church (i.e. ideological apparatus) of the new Judeo-American faith. They are the Brahmin caste of America. They can be called even a very prominent, if not ruling ethnic minority. This turn of events is strange but not unique. Until recent times, England was run by a small caste of Eton graduates, as exclusivist as any Jew; they even married within their own group.

That is why Powell and Bush can’t and won’t give orders to Sharon. They have some free play, so long as the Jewish People are of two minds, - before this unique entity has not decided what it wants. Now, apparently the Jews (as opposed to Jews) are united by a common will, single purpose and a feeling of power. Intoxication by power and unity has caused this cautious people to drop masks, to cease pretence. The new openness provides us with an unprecedented insight into the soul of the Jews and their Mammonite supporters.

An authentic voice, Ron Grossman of the Chicago Tribune writes, "As a self-proclaimed humanist, I ought to recoil in horror from the thought of tanks rumbling through a city, anybody's city. My head should hang in sorrow at televised images of street fighting (rather, massacres - ISH) in Bethlehem and Ramallah. But here is a hint: Don't lecture or preach to us. Forget about appealing to our better selves".

Yes, forget about appealing to their better selves, for they have not got one. ‘The better selves’ were just a device, and now their real selves have emerged in all their brutal might.

Let us turn this text into a movie script and alternate a few snapshots provided by the BBC from the field. In Palestine, UNRWA chief Peter Hansen said: "We are getting reports of pure horror. Helicopters are strafing civilian residential areas; systematic shelling by tanks has created hundreds of wounded; bulldozers are razing refugee homes and food and medicine will soon run out." Dozens of dead bodies are lying in the streets of Jenin refugee camp. The Church of Nativity is on fire, as in 614.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of Jews turn up in New York to show support for Israel’s massacre of Palestinians. 150,000 Jewish demonstrators take to the streets of Paris to express their solidarity with Israel. Waving Israeli flags and draped in the blue and white colours of their national banner (the tricolour is dropped and forgotten), protesters marched from the Place de la Republique to the Place de la Bastille in Paris, chanting in French and Hebrew and carrying signs that read "Yesterday New York, today Jerusalem, tomorrow Paris."

In Israel, "no one can express the aspirations of most Israelis like the prime minister. This is not a war that was waged by Sharon, the "warmonger," this is the war of all of us", writes Gideon Levy, a man of heart and conscience. "It will also be very difficult to blame Sharon for the consequences of the war, in the light of the sweeping support he has been given by the majority of Israelis. Nearly 30,000 men were mobilized and they reported for duty as one man, making the refusal movement, with 21 refuseniks currently in jail, irrelevant. "We didn't ask why, we just came," the reservists told the Prime Minister, expressing the "together" syndrome that characterizes Israel at such times. Tens of thousands of men leave their homes, putting their normal life behind them, and set out to kill and be killed - and they don't even ask why? That is the behaviour of the herd", concludes Levy.

Levy is mistaken: it is the real strength of Jewry that comes through in this immense cohesiveness and unabashed ethnocentrism. For instance, a Mark Steyn (sic) writes in the National Post. "All civilized people can agree that killing Jews is wrong". (Not ‘killing’ is wrong, as then it would be wrong to kill Palestinians. Only ‘killing Jews’ is wrong. This approach is based on the Jewish reading of the Ten Commandments: ‘Thou shalt not murder a Jew’, instead of the Christian ‘Thou shalt not murder’.

Professor David D. Perlmutter writes in LA Times : "I daydream--if only! If in 1948, 1956, 1967 or 1973 Israel had acted just a bit like the Third Reich, then today Israelis would shop, eat pizza, marry and celebrate the holy days unmolested. And of course Jews, not sheiks, would have that Gulf oil’. Such daydreamers should be carefully removed from the education system, for being unreconstructed Nazis. But no fear! Judeo-Nazism is a winning ideology in the US.

Witty if snobbish Taki of the British weekly Spectator contributed the following anecdotal evidence of the new Jewish vehemence and single-mindedness: "On Easter Sunday, during lunch, the richest woman in Israel, Irit Lando , suddenly burst into my house and began to harangue my friends and family about Adam Shapiro. Despite the fact she's one of my wife's oldest friends and was invited to drop in after lunch, I was extremely annoyed. I reminded Irit that my house was not Israeli occupied territory; that it was Easter; and knowing how I feel about the plight of the Palestinians, she should change the subject. Which she did, turning on the press, instead, and how they gave publicity to that godawful traitor Adam Shapiro".

As a few mavericks of Jewish origin like Adam Shapiro are increasingly marginalized, the Jews en masse rally to support Sharon and Israel. The US officials have no choice but to take the hint. American Gentiles figured it out long time ago: if you want to make a career in politics or the media, you have to support the Jews wholeheartedly. Otherwise you will find yourself thrown to dogs. If a man has found his way to the higher echelons of American power, then he has learned the ropes and knows the limits of his power.

Eric Alterman of the Nation published a list of American pundits unreservedly supportive of Israel. It is an exciting read:

"What is perhaps most interesting is the long list of non-Jews who support Israel reflexively and without qualification", - wrote Professor Kevin McDonald of California State University . – "Unconditional support for Israel is a critical litmus test of acceptability by the major media in the U.S. Prospective pundits "earn their stripes" by showing their devotion to Israel (and, presumably other Jewish issues). It seems difficult to explain the huge tilt toward Israel in the absence of some enormous selective factor as the result of individual attitudes. And there is the obvious suggestion that while the Jews on this list must be seen as ethnic actors, the non-Jews are certainly making an excellent career move in taking the positions they do. This litmus test for prospective opinion makers is further supported by the fact that Joe Sobran was fired from the National Review because he had the temerity to suppose that the U.S. foreign policy should not be dictated by what’s best for Israel".

The careerists were chosen for their ability to disregard the interests of the American people. A good indicator of elite composition and behaviour can be found in the figures of student-admission figures of the Ivy League universities. The share of the traditional elites of the US, the WASPs, has shrunk from 85% to 35%, while the Jews’ share (2% of population) has reached 40%. In other words, a non-Jew’s chance of finding a place among the elite has decreased significantly.

Thus, after many years of selection process, pro-Jewish forces have risen to positions of power and influence in the US. All this said, America was almost doomed to become a Neo-Jewish state by virtue of its ideology. Anthony Judge wrote, "There is an extraordinary parallel between the unusual exclusivist perception of America as ‘God's own country’, and of Israel as a gift by God to "Chosen People". Why have these perceptions justified encroachment on the lands of others, the displacement and death of the indigenous populations, their restrictions to ‘reservations’, and the development of a strategic framework for the expansion of "western civilization" into the spaces of other cultures?"

The Fathers Pilgrims, the founders of America, called themselves a New Israel. However, Satan played a cruel game with their WASP descendants. He promised to make them new Jews, and he made his promise good. However, they became a minor partner in the Judeo-Mammonite alliance, doomed to swear their allegiance each day.

Still, Professor McDonald is mistaken in oversimplifying the reasons of the Gentile support for the Jews. Apart from Bush and Ramsfield, apart from the careerists, there are good non-Jews who support the Jews, just as there are maverick Jews and ‘non-Jewish Jews’, by definition of Isaac Deutscher. This is due to the contradictory nature of the centrifugal and centripetal tendencies within the Jewish community. By their individual responses to encounters with the non-Jews, the Jews can be classified as Rim Jews or Core Jews. Rim Jews try to leave the community by marrying out, by adopting Christianity, Communism or other faiths, by seeking communion with God. Core Jews proclaim the primacy of the community in permanent warfare against the Goyim. In the millennia-old tug-of-war, Christendom tries to undo the Core, while Jewry tries to undo the Rim.

That is why there are two kinds of ‘philo-Semites’. One of them, the good Gentiles, look to a new spiritual home. They are influenced by the positive parts of the Bible, by ‘love thy neighbour’. They like the spirit of community, of belonging, of the tradition that Jews exude. They like a light touch of ‘outsider’ that attracts poetic natures. There are many people, who want to break the tiresome strangling ties of their immediate surroundings. James Joyce, the Irish writer, saw the Jews as a way out of the bloody feud with Brits. Marina Tsvetaeva, the Russian poetess, felt herself an outsider in her steady middle-class family, and wrote, ‘in this most Christian world, all poets are Jews’. The charming female characters of Woody Allen’s early comedies are attracted to this eternal foreigner, the Jew.

It is not a coincidence that such people usually meet with marginal Jews on the outer rim of the Jewish community. The Jew of Joyce was the Italian Jewish writer Italo Svevo, the Jew of Tsvetaeva was the Russian Communist spy Sergey Ephron. The Jew of Diane Keaton and Mia Farrow was this amusing outsider, Woody Allen. As the rim of the Jewish community is quite large, there always is intermingling with the better sort of Gentile mavericks.

The second set of allies consists of the hard businessmen who appreciate the practical side of Jewish ideology. They like the idea of the Mob, the pursuit of money, the disregard of morals and of social consequences thereof, of others’ property and very life. People who see everybody as an enemy, and life as eternal warfare, notice that in Jewish ideology, no stranger is a ‘neighbour’. That is why the cruellest rulers, princes and kings were those who took Jewish advisers and ministers. They learned from them how to disregard their subjects. Such people as Nero and Pedro the Cruel, Conrad Black and Margaret Thatcher, the Mafia Godfathers and Third World dictators loved the Core (as opposed to Rim) Jews.

Thus, good people have their Jews, and bad people have their Jews. There is a problem: the Jews of good people are the outsiders, who hardly qualify as Jews, while the Jews of bad people are the powerful Jewish leaders. And the Jewish fraternity is a structurally hierarchical body, strongly influenced by its authoritarian leadership. Unwillingly, the good Jews were used by the bad Jews. Albert Einstein rejected the Jewish community, disproved of Zionism, never went to a synagogue and was a charming man. But his achievements were used by bad Jews to promote their own concept.

It happened because not too many people dare to understand: the Jews are neither a people, nor a religion, nor a race. They are a quasi-religious organisation; a likeness of the Catholic Church bundled together with the IMF like browser and mailer are bundled in the Windows. One can find all sorts of Catholics, but decisions are made in Rome. One can find all sorts of Jews, but the decisions are made in Wall Street.

While fighting against the Core, it is important to support the Rim. That was the traditional approach of the Christian Church: fight Jewry for the soul of Jews. A Jewish Zealot, ‘Mad’ Goldhagen, claimed in his books that the Church was ‘anti-Semitic’ and its policies led to the Jewish holocaust. Nothing could be more wrong: the Church wished to correct the mind, not to kill the body. Indeed, the true interests of Jews and the Jews are at loggerheads.

The Jewish elites know that people should be given a choice, and they try to ensure that it will be the wrong choice. That is why the Mammonite Jews support the Zionist Zealots. They want us, Jews, to make our choice between these two evils, the Zealots and Mammonites. But there is ‘the third philosophy’ as well. Its adepts believe in the great fraternity of mankind, and they reject both the Zealots’ hate and the Pharisees’ drive for the world domination. They can adhere to different political and religious schools, be on the left or on the right of the political map, believe in Christ or Allah, Lenin or Chomsky, the New Age or Buddha, Art or Love. They are the remnant of Israel, proclaimed by St Paul. In their merging with mankind, the words of Christ will be fulfilled: a corn that dies, lives. A corn that lives, dies.

The story of the Death and the Resurrection has this mystic meaning: do not be afraid of death and disappearance, as it is the way to life. The Jews who died as Jews remained alive. After the curtain descended on the Jewish community in Spain; St Teresa of Avila and St John of God died as Jews and remained alive forever. The names of exiles who went to Amsterdam and Morocco are gone and forgotten: they remained alive as Jews, then died forever. It was repeated in 1917 in Russia: that those who remained Jews died forever; those who embraced the revolution live forever.

Just before 9/11, a group of US congressmen visited Palestine, and one of them made headlines. It was the Congresswoman Shelley Berkley (a Democrat from Nevada) who said to the Palestinian Minister Saeb Erakat: "This is our country; we won the war. If the Palestinians do not like living under Jewish rule, I would not prevent them from leaving".

Who are the Hon. Shelley Berkley’s ‘we’? She certainly did not mean ‘we the Americans’, or ‘we the Nevadans’ who sent her to Washington. Nevada did not wage a war in the Middle East, to the best of my knowledge. Some naïve person would probably reply ‘Israel’, and even accuse her of ‘dual loyalty’. Strict mentors would censure her for betraying the trust of her electorate by switching her allegiance to a foreign country. But it would be a dishonest misinterpretation. Miss Berkley never switched allegiance. Together with many other members of Congress and the Senate, she has a single loyalty, which is to the Jewish cause.

Miss Berkley makes sense. If Nevadans and other Americans do not mind living under heavy Jewish influence, why should the Palestinians mind it? Americans apparently do not mind that their wealth is managed by big investment bankers, under the umbrella of Mr Greenspan’s Federal Reserve. Jesus saves, but Moses invests. Jewish influence does not stop where the buck stops. The ideals of Americans are formed by Hollywood with its cult of greed and success. Their thoughts are supplied by the Jewish pundits in the universities and media. For comfort, they take the New York Times chicken soup. Their history has shrunk down to Holocaust studies. Their books are written by Bellow and Malamud. Americans do not mind that their politics are in the hands of people whose single devotion is to the Jewish cause.

If they do not mind, why do I, an Israeli Jew, mind it, instead of feeling pride for this great achievement of my brethren the American Jews? After all, it is no mean feat to take over the only superpower without a single shot being fired. This is not a rhetorical question, it has an answer, and it is not ‘self-hatred’. I feel perfectly comfortable with myself, and with the majority of Jews I meet. Separately, we are nice and cuddly. Well, as nice as any. But together, we form a formidable and repulsive social machine, hell-bent on power grasping and greed. I like ‘the Jews’ as much as the great American Henry Thoreau loved the American Empire, as Voltaire loved his Catholic Church, as Orwell loved Stalin’s Party.

Jewry has become the adversary of Jews in Israel: Israelis who would like to live in peace with their Palestinian neighbours, in peace with churches and mosques, can not counteract the raw muscle of the American Jewish leadership. Good Israelis and their Palestinian allies can’t win, unless this power is contained. In a Nordic story, the hero-god Thor came to Utgard to prove his power. The gods of Utgard challenged him to drink from a horn. He tried and failed: The horn was connected to a well. Only by severing the connection, could he meet the challenge. If you, my readers overseas, will block the sea of the Jewish support abroad, we, Israelis and Palestinians, will be able to change things on the ground. The supporters of the Jewish state in your midst should be contained, for your and our sake.

A few months ago, my travels took me to the Amazon basin, to the Peruvian jungle deeply cut by Rio del Madre de Dios. In this remote location, small rivulets meander for miles among endless forests, navigable just by small pirogues. After a long sailing from Puerto Maldonado, my native guide brought me to the Lost World of many-coloured parrots and of friendly monkeys that sat on my shoulder. On a narrow path, I noticed a huge tree. It was bigger than all other trees of the jungle. Its huge roots were spread across many yards. It is the telegraph-tree, my guide replied to my query. He tapped on the trunk of the monster tree and the sound boomed throughout the jungle. The giant was hollow.

I looked at it closely and noticed a strange feature I had missed before: some seven yards above the ground, another trunk, a partly digested palm tree, protruded from the embracing, smooth bark. The telegraph-tree was a monstrous parasite, a growth on a palm tree. The parasite had no trunk of its own, but it enveloped the tree and grew on it, eventually blocking it and digesting its life juices. The tree rotted inside its shell, and the hollow trunk climbed to new heights, creating a perfect drum for the local Indians.

It was a living image of the United States of America, this huge and hollow trunk, towering above the forest of nations, but dead inside. The American Empire has entered its period of decline. The dollar is still the world currency, the American army is still the formidable war machine, the stock market still runs to trillions, but the great state of the West is a spiritual nonentity. Political life in the US has entered the twilight reminiscent of the last days of the Meroving kings. For an outsider, it is hard to comprehend that this nation of 275 million could not find better leaders than the two nincompoops Bush and/or Gore. Both appear to be weak of mind, lacking in basic knowledge, and totally devoid of political will. Probably an average city could field better men than these two.

General political decline is accompanied by weakness of mind. America of the mass media and public life is silly. There are no important new books, comparable with the pre-war American output. The US TV is an insult to human intelligence. Museums are full of rusty junk and videotapes purporting to be American art. The Judeo-Mammonite takeover has eliminated the living forces of America, and directed them into consumption.

The ‘Jewish’ spirit of America, denounced by Marx, was glorified and exalted by a Jewish American journalist Phillip Weiss :

This smug self-adoration of Weiss calls for some sobriety. These changes can be seen in a less felicitous light. Jews changed America during last 25-30 years, says Weiss. These were golden years for American Jews, as their share of power and influence grew. But these years were rather bad for un-Chosen Americans. A British weekly, the Economist, an ardent supporter of the neo-liberalism, reported recently:

The growth of Jewish influence was accompanied by divergence: the rich became richer, the poor became poorer, and the middle class lost. It should have been expected, as traditionally the prosperity of the Jewish community runs counter to the interests of common folk. The Bible provided us with an archetypal story of Joseph and his brothers, who prospered by enslaving ordinary Egyptians to the Pharaoh. The Jewish community stood by the king and against the ordinary folk in Spain in the days of Don Pedro the Cruel, in Poland and Ukraine of 17th century. Not in vain Jewish neighbourhoods were located next to royal palaces everywhere in Europe.

The ‘ever-more-powerful Jews in the media’ were engaged in their usual drivel: glorifying Israel, bemoaning the Jewish Holocaust, supporting every nasty case from mass murder in Iraq to the blocking of the Blacks’ advancement in the US. Under the Jews, Hollywood made American cinema even more violent, moralistic, repulsive, and philistine. There is a good Jewish guy in the movies, Woody Allen, but he is not in Hollywood and he is anyway considered an anti-Semite. In the law, the advent of the Jew did not make America a more just society, but a more litigious one. ‘A Jewish lawyer’ has come to stay as the bogeyman for scaring kids at night. ‘Separation of church and society’ can be considered to be its forced de-Christianisation and de-spiritualization.

The US has become a Jewish state in more ways than one. It has the same security checks, the same holocaust museums, the same poverty for many and riches for a few as Israel. The similarity is felt by its friend and foe alike. David Quinn wrote in the Sunday Times, that the feel of Irish intellectuals’ rejection of American policies is "so strong, so palpable, so irrational (!?), that it reminded me of nothing so much as anti-Semitism". Quinn continued:

This article is important, as it displays the subconscious of an adept of Judeo-Americanism. Quinn appeals to Jews and Neo-Jews: support America as America is a Jewish state that carries out Jewish policies and causes normal anti-Jewish response. Quinn considers Jews and America to be identical, and he uses the many cliché of Neo-Jewish propaganda.

One of the clichés is that rejection of Jewish/American policies is ‘irrational’ for there is a tenet of faith: "thou shall not try and understand why thine policies cause rejection". Elie Wiesel, the prophet of holocaustism, recites at every occasion: ‘totally irrational… no explanation… no reason, just pure hate of everybody to Jews’, and Rabbi Tony Bayfield repeats it with usual Jewish vehemence :

Without knowing Rabbi Bayfield personally, I venture a wild guess. If you mention Deir Yassin to him, or the genocide in Iraq, he will seethe with rage: How can one compare! He will find these mass murders justifiable, let certainly explicable. But whenever Jews suffer, it can not be explained and understood but by some mystic means.

Quinn, as any Neo-Jewish apologist, denies the undeniable. For him, America does not control world finances, she is accused of it. Probably, America is only accused of occupying a large part of North America. In Quinn’s mind, she lives in a poor house, in a little schtetl. I have no idea of David Quinn’s origin, but nobody can be more Jewish than he.

For Quinn, every enemy of Jewish supremacy/American domination is a new Hitler who wants to kill all Jews/Americans. Nasser was Hitler when he nationalized Suez, Arafat was Hitler and Beirut was his bunker. Soviet Russia was the same as Nazi Germany from the moment Moscow completed its part in vanquishing Hitler. Osama bin Laden, or ‘tens of millions of people in the Middle East’ became a new Hitler. The idea behind this comparison is that these ‘tens of millions’ of Muslims should be dealt with as Hitler and his ‘many Germans in the Weimar Republic’.

Judeo-American discourse inherited this demonisation idea from its Jewish predecessor. Introduction of fury, hatred and vengefulness into a discussion of the adversary is a potent traditional Jewish ideological weapon. It is never turned on inside the community, but used outside of it. Demonisation and fury causes general nastiness and bias in discourse and eventually destroys society. Rabbi Shmuel Boteach, formerly the Chabad Rabbi at Oxford University, presented this Jewish approach in his aptly named piece, A Time to Hate.

In the struggle of ideas, there is a formidable weapon of mass destruction: demonisation of the opponent. Theologically it is called the ‘Manichean’ heresy. There is no better systemic weapon if you intend to destroy society. One should not divide people unto Sons of Light and Sons of Darkness.

Jews usually are quite tolerant of ideas produced within the community. The founder of Zionism Theodor Hertzl was anything but a pious Jew. Religious Jews greatly disliked him. Still, when a Rabbi was asked to say something good about him, he found good words: Theodor Hertzl never spoke on mundane subjects in a synagogue, never entered a toilet while wearing phylacteries, he never studied the Talmud on Christmas Eve. The truth is that Hertzl never visited a synagogue, never wore phylacteries, never studied the Talmud, full stop. In a similar vein, Jews were quite tolerant of Leon Trotsky the Communist, and of Yair Stern the Nazi supporter, for they knew that every idea has its positive elements. Nowadays, the leader of Left Opposition Yossi Sarid was a friend of the assassinated Judeo-Nazi minister Zeevi and touchingly eulogised him.

But to the outside world, Jews usually offered the idea of the eternally blessed vs. the eternally damned, of seething rage, of anger and vengeance. In order to restore the balance of mind, this Jewish internal tolerance should be universalised, and Jewish external intolerance rejected.

Judeo-American thought keeps producing intolerance for external consumption. Ronald Reagan called Russia, ‘the Evil Empire’. Bush called Saddam Hussein, ‘Hitler’. Barbara Amiel, wife and guiding light of the media magnate Lord Black, remarked that now, Israel and the Jews are presented as an Evil Empire.

Wrong, Ms Amiel: there are no Evil Empires, only unchecked ones.

Soviet Russia was not an Evil Empire, nor was Communism embodied in Stalin and the Gulag. Sholokhov, Block, Pasternak, Esenin, Mayakovsky and Deineka embraced the Revolution and expressed its ideas in art. It was a land of the great and partly successful experiment in equality and brotherhood of Man, of a brave attempt to defeat the spirit of Greed. If Russia and Germany had not been demonised, it is quite possible we would not have seen them coming to such extremes.

Still, they should be contained, not destroyed.

Usually we discuss war as the conflict of state interests. But the never-ending World War Two was the war of ideas, as well. It was wrong and unneeded, as various ideas should coexist in eternal struggle, as Yin and Yang, or feminine and masculine forces. The Judeo-American idea will emasculate the world if left to run unchecked. This emasculation is strongly felt in the US, where men do not dare to be men anymore. They can be sued if they look at a girl, and sued if they do not look at a girl. In Beowulf, the great Anglo-Saxon epic poem, a cruel queen kills every man who dares to look at her. Little did they know that the spirit of the cruel queen will rule supreme in the world.

The Judeo-American idea has a strong attachment to biological life, but rejects spirit. It is not for nothing that no great pieces of art, no great new ideas appear under its rule. Thus, we should look for a synthesis of the four tendencies: the organic native love of nature, local roots and tradition, social communal justice for all mankind, love of life and entrepreneurship; and spirituality. Many scholars of the Rise of the Jews encounter a difficulty. Their Darwinist instincts called them to presume some better qualities of the Jews which led them to succeed. There were always Gentiles who shared their view, but be they Richard III or Harpagon, they were considered monsters rather than models of success. By actively participating in discourse (media + universities), Jewish thinkers and ideologists promoted the Mammonite idea of success and made it the standard one in Western society. The Western world became Jewish, as Marx put it, and it adopted the Jewish idea of success. In plain words, Jews did not ‘become successful’, rather, their normal behaviour became a norm of success.

If the discourse of the US were transferred into Afro-American hands, it is possible that good sportsmen and musicians would come to be considered successful, while lawyers and bankers would be considered failures. That would be better for the future of mankind than the present adoration of money and power.

Georgia lawmaker Doug Teper (Democrat) has proposed a bill to replace the state's electric chair with the guillotine. Teper's reasoning? It would allow for death-row inmates as organ donors, he says, since the "Blade makes a clean cut and leaves vital organs intact."
In 1995, a move to replace the electric chair with lethal injection (poisoning) failed in Georgia's assembly because legislators feared that prisoners could argue for a new sentencing hearing if the state changed the law.

Introduction

Although many of the framers of the American Constitution were not devout, their political mentality was shaped in universities whose curriculum was based very much on Jewish ideas. Accordingly, this essay will be divided into three parts. The first part will show how Judaism, in particular the Five Books of Moses, influenced higher education in 17^th and 18^th century America. The second part will examine the institutions prescribed in the American Constitution and show their roots in Jewish laws and principles. The third part will consider how America needs to return to its Jewish roots in the war against international terrorism.

A. Historical Background.[1]

1. No nation has been more profoundly influenced by the "Old Testament" than America . Many of America 's early statesmen and educators were schooled in Hebraic civilization. The second president of the United States , John Adams, a Harvard graduate, had this to say of the Jewish people:

The Jews have done more to civilize men than any other nation.... They are the most glorious Nation that ever inhabited the earth. The Romans and their Empire were but a bauble in comparison to the Jews. They have given religion to three-quarters of the Globe and have influenced the affairs of Mankind more, and more happily than any other Nation, ancient or modern.[2]

2. The curriculum at Harvard, like those of other early American colleges and universities, was designed by learned and liberal men of "Old Testament" persuasion. Harvard president Increase Mather (1685-1701) was an ardent Hebraist (as were his predecessors, Henry Dunster and Charles Chauncey). Mather's writings contain numerous quotations from the Talmud as well as from the works of Saadia Gaon, Rashi, Maimonides and other classic Jewish commentators.

4. Much the same may be said of King's College (later Columbia University), William and Mary, Rutgers, Princeton, Dartmouth, and Brown University. Hebrew learning was then deemed a basic element of liberal education. Samuel Johnson, first president of King's College (1754-1763), expressed the intellectual attitude of his age when he referred to Hebrew as "essential to a gentleman's education."

5. This attitude was not merely academic. On May 31, 1775, almost on the eve of the American Revolution, Harvard president Samuel Langdon, addressing the Congress of Massachusetts Bay, declared: "Every nation, when able and agreed, has a right to set up over itself any form of government which to it may appear most conducive to its common welfare. The civil polity of Israel is doubtless an excellent general model" (emphasis added).

The Higher Law doctrine of the Declaration of Independence is rooted in the Torah, which proclaims “The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God,” and appeals to the “Supreme Judge” and “Providence.” Even though Jefferson, the principal author of the Declaration, was no admirer of the Hebrew Bible, he nonetheless framed the Declaration with a view to galvanizing a bible-reading public in support of the American Revolution.

7. During the colonial and constitution-making period, the Americans, especially the Puritans, adopted and adapted various Hebraic laws for their own governance. The legislation of New Haven, for example, was based on the premise that "the judicial laws of God, as they were delivered by Moses, and as they are a fence to the moral law, being neither ... ceremonial, nor ha[ving] any reference to Canaan, shall ... generally bind all offenders, till they be branched out into particulars hereafter.” Thirty-eight of seventy-nine statutes in the New Haven Code of 1665 derived their authority from the Hebrew Bible. The laws of Massachusetts were based on the same premise.

8. The fifteen Capital Laws of New England included the "Seven Noahide Laws" of the Torah, (Mishnah Torah, Talmud Bavli) or what may be termed the seven universal laws of morality. Six prohibit idolatry, blasphemy, murder, robbery, adultery, and cruelty to animals, while the seventh requires the establishment of courts of justice. Such courts are obviously essential to any society based on the primacy of reason or persuasion rather than passion or intimidation.

9. The seven universal laws of morality (together with their particular branches) comprised a "genial orthodoxy." This genial orthodoxy transcends whatever social or economic distinctions exist among men: it holds all men equal before the law. By so doing it places constraints on governors and governors alike and thereby habituated Americans to the rule of law. As a further consequence, this ancient Hebraic orthodoxy dissolved or subordinated many ethnic differences among immigrants in the new world. It moderated the demands of various groups, helped coordinate their diverse interests and talents, and thereby contributed to America 's growth and prosperity.

10. Now, without minimizing the influence of such philosophers as Locke and Montesquieu on the framers of the American Constitution, I believe America may rightly be deemed the first and only nation that was explicitly founded on the Seven Noahide Laws of the Torah. Indeed, the legislation of the several states comprising the Federal Union embodied these laws—including the prohibitions against blasphemy and adultery—well into the nineteenth century. It should also be noted that the constitutions of eleven of the original thirteen states made provision for religious education. Some even had religious qualifications for office.

B. The Institutions Prescribed by the American Constitution

1. The House of Representatives represents 435 districts of the United States, where the people of each district elect one person to represent their views and interests. The idea of district elections is implicit in the Torah. “Select for yourselves men who are wise, understanding, and known to your tribes and I will appoint them as your leaders” (Deut. 1:13). The word “election” obviously comes from the word “elect,” and the “elect” means men of high intellectual and moral character.

a. Exodus 18:19 states: “... seek out from among all the people men with leadership ability, God-fearing men--men of truth who hate injustice.” Similar qualifications are prescribed in the original constitutions Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. This is what the word “election” means. It is not a democratic but an aristocratic term!

b. So, each tribe must select the best men to be their representatives. Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch comments that “each tribe (shevet) is to choose out of its own midst men whose character can only be known by their lives [hence whose character] is known only to those who have associated with them.” This is the biblical (Talmudic) source of residential requirements for Representatives and Senators in the United States . Also, what is here called a shevet was called a district (pelech) after the Second Temple.[3]

c. Moreover, the idea of district elections conforms to the Jewish law of “agency” (Kiddushin 59a). This law synthesizes the “delegate” and “trustee” concept of representation prevalent in the non-Jewish democratic world. Whereas the delegate concept binds a representative to the instructions of his constituents, the trustee concept allows him to judge whether adherence to these instructions, when additional knowledge or new circumstances intervene, will harm his constituents’ immediate and/or long-term interests.

d. Finally, it is a principle of Jewish law that “No legislation should be imposed on the public unless the majority can conform to it” (Avoda Zara 36a). This obviously requires legislators to consider or consult the opinions of their constituents. Hence representative democracy can be readily assimilated to Judaism simply by adding that representatives must be “men who are wise, and understanding.” This would make for a “high-toned” or aristocratic democracy, or a universal aristocracy. (Bear in mind that Israel is supposed to be a “Nation of Kohanim,” meaning a nation of noblemen.)

2. The Senate. The Senate represents the 50 states of the Federal Union; it therefore represents the Federal principle. But the idea of federalism goes back to the Torah and the twelve tribes. Each tribe had its own distinct identity, its own governor and its own judicial system.

3. The Presidency. Unlike Israel , which has a Plural Executive or Cabinet consisting of a prime minister and other ministers representing different political parties in the Knesset, the United States has a Unitary Executive, namely, the President. Of course the President has a Cabinet, but its members cannot hold any other office and they are wholly responsible to the President, not to any political party.

a. Now it so happens that a Unitary Executive is a Torah principle! Thus, when Moses told Joshua to consult the elders when he was about to lead the Jews across the Jordan , God countermanded Moses: there can only be one leader in a generation. b. Just as a President of the United States must be a native-born American and not a naturalized citizen, so a king of Israel must be born of a Jewish mother and not a ger or convert. 4. The Supreme Court. Just as the American Supreme Court is the final interpreter of the American Constitution, so the Great Sanhedrin is the final interpreter of the Jewish Constitution, the Torah.

So we see that the American Constitution was very much rooted in Jewish principles. Now let us consider the importance of these principles in America ’s war against international terrorism.

C. The War Against International Terrorism

1. Since 9/11, an “Axis of Evil” threatens mankind. It has been given various names: “Islamic fundamentalism,” “Islamism,” “militant Islam,” “Wahhabism,” etc. Each of these appellations is said to be an extreme form of Islam. The issue is of strategic significance. It is one thing to confront what may only be a fringe element of Islam; it is quite another if this element lurks in the heart of Muslims and can everywhere explode into fanatical fury. Moreover, it is one thing to win a war against a supposedly a marginal aspect of Islam. But whether America possesses the wisdom and perseverance to win a war against Islam per se and then transform a welter of Islamic regimes into democracies is problematic.

2. In any event, no war can be wisely conducted and won unless the enemy is clearly defined. We need to know whether “Islamic fundamentalism” is authentic Islam.

6. If the war against Islam is to be won, the partisans of contemporary democracy will require a deeper understanding of what makes democracies preferable to Islamic (and other) tyrannies. These partisans invariably emphasize the freedom and equality enjoyed in democracies but absent in Islam. They overlook the fact that, unlike in former times, democratic freedom and equality lack ethical and rational constraints. Moral relativism infects the democratic mind and saps the will to overcome the absolutism of the Islamic mind. Lovers of democracy need to ask: What is there about democratic freedom that would prompt a person to restrain his passions, to be kind, honest, just? What is there about democratic equality that would prompt him to defer to wisdom or to show respect for teachers or parents?

7. The partisans of democracy need to recognize that the freedom and equality they exalt are morally neutral. In the war against Islamic barbarism democrats need to see that the sanctity of human life and the decency and civility still visible in contemporary democracy have nothing to do with democracy itself. They are rooted in the Bible of Israel (Talmud Bavli) and in Greek political philosophy. Waving the flag of freedom and equality American style will not purge Islam whose believers are willing to die for Allah. If, however, freedom and equality are derived from the Jewish conception of man’s creation in the image of God — (Jesus Christ the Creator) which alone can provide democracy with an ethical and rational foundation — and if democracy, so conceived and so proclaimed, rallies Christian America, it may then be possible to transform the Islamic world.

Youth should be taught that it is sinful for Muslims to wage jihad against Jews and Christians (as well as Hindus). They should also learn that the concept of jihad contradicts the UN Charter as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which prescribes “tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial, or religious groups.” The word jihad should be stricken from Islamic law. Public renunciation of jihad should be the litmus test of whether a Muslim regime is sincerely committed to peace. Jihad should mean nothing more than striving for self-perfection.

13. The effectiveness of democracy in any country very much depends on the structure of the legislature. Because many countries in the Middle East contain large ethnic and religious minorities, the United States should promote “bicameralism” in these countries. Given a bicameral legislature, the lower branch can be designed in such a way as to protect these minorities.

In the 21 Arab-defined countries — this excludes Iran — there are approximately 250 million people, some 40 million of whom are non-Arabs ethnically or nationally, or non-Muslims religiously. In Israel, the Chief Rabbis are empowered by law to decide matters of personal status, such as marriage and divorce as well as conversion to Judaism. (This was also the case under the British Mandate.)
